Hi Oscar, this is a classic movie and people make it a tradition to watch it every year. Cassie from Popcorn in Bed reacted to this last Christmas and also loved it and said it’s gonna be an annual tradition in her house and now that you’ve seen it you might notice that in other Christmas movies people talk about watching It’s a Wonderful Life. Here in America there is a TV channel that plays this movie on a loop for 24 hours on Christmas day. George Bailey is played by Jimmy Stewart who is a very well known American actor who appeared in several movies and was considered one of the biggest movie stars of the 40’s - 50’s. What’s even more impressive is that he stopped acting to enlist in the Army for WWIi and worked up the ranks to become a brigadier general and was involved in many military operations, he retired from the Army in 1968. It’s a Wonderful Life was his first movie after he returned from the war. He has such a distinctive voice that people would imitate him all the time. Unfortunately as time passes he is not as well known anymore. He died in 1997 at 89 years old. I remember watching a romantic movie a few years back and the woman said something about the moon and her love interest said (In Jimmy Stewart’s) voice “Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.” Of course only people who have seen the movie will get the reference. There’s a TV show that does have an angel and one of the characters always teasingly calls him Clarence. It really has become a beloved Christmas movie, even though we only see Christmas in the last 30 minutes of the movie. And I absolutely adore Jimmy Stewart, he is just so charismatic, charming and funny.
