I thought these two episodes were really well done. I loved all the stuff with Ross trying to figure out all the U.S states, Joey actually developing feelings for a girl and a special appearance once again from Janice. Enjoy :)

There is actually a song about the states, where you sing them in alphabetical order. We did it in elementary school and I still remember lol. Can't wait for more episodes 🙂

I dont get how anyone couldnt like dogs theyre the cutest things ever

Always a joy to see Janice. I never understood where Ross and Monica got their ultra competitiveness from (the writers 😳). I love their parents, but surely not from them.

Sarah

Your thoughts on the dog situation in the end are the exact reason why in the harry potter house test I would always choose the ability to speak with animals. I love them, but this unpredictability is quite scary for me😅

You know the dog thing I kinda get, I was bitten by a dog when I was 5 years old in the face so yeah. I’m not that afraid of dogs now but I keep my distance puppies are adorable do. But anyway, I absolutely adore your reactions to my favorite TV show always puts a smile on my face. Keep it up, you’re ✨amazing✨

I work at a doggy day care and most of the time the dogs are good but there are some who have no discipline at all and are a pain in the butt to work with. You can really tell if the owners but the time into training them. I love dogs but I wouldn’t get a big one for myself they are super drooly also since I’m very small 4’8” (56 cm) it’s much easier for them to pull me and more difficult for me to get a handle of. I’ll stick with the little guys they are MUCH easier lol plus the tiny ones are so adorable.

TheCocoaCouch

Their parents reward their children for achievements with their love it appears to me. That doesn’t get passed down to you, it’s created because of their circumstances.

Rhetorical Thrill

The only thing that bugs me about the dog plotline is that it's completely pulled from nowhere. The first episode of this season, when Chandler tells Monica about the future he sees for them, he mentions having a cat, and later she says "when you said cat, you meant dog, RIGHT?" And then in this one he's supposedly been claiming to be allergic forever. Just annoying. And yes, there absolutely is a fifty states song. I learned it in school when I was 9, so I can name all the states in about 45 seconds. Maybe the New York school system didn't teach it, but whenever I see this episode I just throw my hands up and despair that they never learned the Fifty Nifty song 🤣

I complelety agree with your assessments on Joey and Chandler when it comes to relationships. This is also the second time Joey has fallen for someone and wanted a more serious relationship, but the woman didn't (Kate, the actress from the play in S3). As much as I love Joey, it's interesting seeing the roles reversed and him getting a taste of his own medicine. Also, I love Chandler but I would choose the dog too 😂 IRL I don't trust people who don't like dogs OR cats or any kind of animal really, unless there's a legitimate reason. Fun facts: After E8 aired, it became a popular challenge amongst Americans to see if they could name all 50 states. The New York Times revealed through a survey that the #1 most forgotten state was Arkansas, while there was a tie for the most misspelled state: Illinois and Mississippi. I'm not American but I've tried it so many times and usually do pretty well if I do say so myself (especially as a non-American). I could name 44 states now! The ones I forgot were Idaho, Maine, Missouri, New Hamshire, Oregon and Wyoming. To be fair, I probably wouldn't have remembered Delaware (it is pretty forgettable) or North and South Dakota if it hadn't been mentioned. The funniest thing is that I usually remember Arkansas for some reason 😂 And sometimes it takes me WAY too long to name one of the bigger/more known states. E8 is called a "bottle episode" where the crew has a limited budget. This is why most of it takes place in Monica and Rachel's apartment and is also why it consists of mostly the main cast. Other bottle episodes are most of the Thanksgiving eps (1x09, 4x08, 6x09, 08x09, 9x08), 3x02 "TOW Where No One's Ready", 5x19 "TOW Ross Can't Flirt", 6x06 TOW On The Last Night", 7x01 "TOW Monica's Thunder" and 8x04 "TOW The Videotape". David Schwimmer directed E7, the 3rd of 10 episodes directed by him in the series. The others are 6x06 "The One on the Last Night", 7x04 "TOW Rachel's Assistant", 7x09, 7x16, 8x02, 8x08, 8x12, 9x05 and 10x09. Erin is played by Kristin Davis who is most known for her role on Sex and the City. I love Joey but with Erin (and Kate) he's kinda getting a taste of his own medicine so I don't feel TOO sorry for him. Phoebe calls Erin 'stronzo' which is the Italian word for 'asshole'. Joey is confusing moo point for a moot point, meaning something that doesn't matter or is up for debate. Goofs/continuity errors: In S4 Chandler told Janice that he'd have to be in Yemen until they found an energy source to replace gasoline and in S5 she believed he was still there, so it's odd that she didn't comment on that in this episode (although Monica may have explained it somehow). Chandler told Monica he is allergic to dogs but earlier in the season when he is talking about their future, Monica corrects him and says they will have a dog instead of a cat, which he agrees to. Monica and Ross DID have a dog as kids but his name was Chi Chi, not Rover. Ross says he hates ice cream but he's eaten ice cream on at least two occasions: Once with Marcel and once with Elizabeth. Ross says that anyone who has ever seen a map or a globe should know all 50 states but globes don't show states.

I'm not American so I definitely wasn't taught that 😆

I do feel for Joey, but only a little bit. He must have made dozens of women feel exactly that same way and never cares or gives it a second thought.

Girls Always

Honestly, Janice needs to go. She had her moments but in my opinion she should have left after her episode in season 5. She has no use anymore. No hate towards her or anything, it's just kinda useless

Alicia Cue

yes! i remember me and my friends used to time ourselves to see who could sing it the fastest 😂

Kelsey

At the beginning of episode 7, when Joey is asking Rachel to tell the girl that he’s not looking for anything serious and he says that Chandler used to do it, he means Chandler always did it FOR him. Haha. I do wish things could’ve worked out for Joey and this girl, because they actually seemed like they could have been a good match. I guess not though. I love when we get a Janice appearance! She pops up just enough for it to be welcome and funny.

Teej

I’m so behind from last week because life has just been a lot at the moment, but I can’t wait to delve into these when I get a moment.

Teej

I feel bad for Chandler in his not liking dogs. I have to be honest… I’m very lucky that my boyfriend loves dogs. It would be extremely hard for me to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t. My dog is my best friend and actually, my boyfriend was the one who urged me to get the dog when he was a puppy when the opportunity presented itself. I just love my home.

Heida

Gonna have to disagree with you on that one!

Brian Matthews

Joey has a sweet, innocent heart/soul...but, he is very much also a typical self serving male as well...who thinks a little too much with Little Joey rather than with Big Joey's brain....it's all about the "happy" end to a really great "massage"...just saying....

Ken R

Was Janice the guest star who appeared in the most episodes, or was it The Gellers? Richard?
