That was just absolutely insane!!! I was so on edge with all the Richard stuff that came out of left field and the miscommunication between Chandler and Monica. But what a satisfying final scene to the season. Enjoy :)

Hey, Aussie. I hope you are doing well. I'm happy to share this with you. I'm heading off to explore a ghost town today. 😀 I'll be watching this later

Raquel Perodin

Yay! I’ve been counting down the days. It’s my favorite season finale. So excited. about to watch. Edit: Congrats to your brother! 🥳 you always bring up such great perspectives! Things I probably wouldn’t have even considered or thought of like the tissues being gone because of Paul lol that didn’t click 😂, Also about Monica understanding Chandlers feelings in the moment, knowing him and meeting him in the middle making things easier on him. That hadn’t registered to me but that’s so true! The writing is just fantastic and it’s another reason to show just how great they are for each other. They are my favorite tv couple and that was my favorite tv proposal. And you are so right! That seemed like such a real proposal and usually on tv it does seem to perfect at times. Great reaction, I’m excited for season 7!

Awwwh! Congratulations to your brother and his fiancé!!! Aren't you a darling to document it, too 🥰

Girls Always

I'm so so glad you weren't one of those people who doubted Monica, thinking she'd cheat. And the proposal was so beautiful! I loved it!

Girls Always

Also, congratulations on the engagement of your brother and his fiancé!!!!

Bungus Fungus

Congrats to your brother and his future Mrs! ❤️

Frederikke

Love this season finale so much!

Frederikke

Have you thought about reacting to outer banks?

Heida

Congratulations on your brother's engagement!! 💍 The proposal is one of the most romantic scenes ever, and I agree, both their acting is phenomenal. The whole situation was so chaotic though! I love Chandler but he almost single-handedly (with a little help from Richard) ruined his relationship because he was so focused on having the "perfect" proposal. I get you want it to be a surprise but he took it too far 😂 I think Richard is a good guy as well and I respect him for being honest with Monica about his feelings without 'going after her' per-se, but even though he obviously didn't know Chandler was gonna propose, I think it was so disrespectful to sit with them at the restaurant. Also, the fact that this is the second time Monica tells Richard that getting over him is the hardest thing she has ever had to do shows how much she did in fact love him and that a part of her always will, but I definitely think she's meant to be with Chandler. And Richard saying he wants kids now doesn't necessarily mean he does, he could just be willing to settle like the last time, so if I were Monica I would always wonder. Fun facts/callbacks: The horoscopes that Rachel read for Monica in 6x21 foreshadowed events in these episodes: The "special gift" refers to the engagement ring. "Lovers' spat" refers to Monica and Chandler falling out because Chandler pretends he doesn't want to get married to keep his proposal a surprise. And "A secret crush announces itself" obviously refers to Richard. The writers originally intended for Ross to discover that Elizabeth was pregnant but would only discover after the baby was born that it wasn't his. This idea was scrapped as they didn't want to put viewers through an entire pregnancy that would later prove to have nothing to do with the central characters. In case you don't know "I was making a coconut phone with the professor" is a reference to a character in Gilligan's Island who built nearly everything from coconuts and bamboo. Also, Rachel's "You know who was looking for you? Tennille" is a reference to the singing duo The Captain & Tennille. When hugging Paul, Joey says "Paul, is it?" Chandler said the same exact line in the pilot to Paul the wine guy. Rachel asks Ross to be her back-up if they're still single when they're 40 - Chandler said the same thing to Monica in S1 when Ben was born. During the proposal, Chandler and Monica are in the exact same positions they were when Chandler nervously proposed in 5x15. Goofs/character errors: At the end when they are all hugging to celebrate the engagement Phoebe says it isn't right because Ross isn't there. Rachel then says he's done this three times so he knows what it's about. But he has only proposed twice - to Carol and Emily, not Rachel. (Sidenote: David Schwimmer was absent from that scene because he was shooting the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers at the time). In 5x07, Phoebe dated a health inspector guy who made Monica lose points for failing to wear her chef's hat in the kitchen, even though she knew she has to wear it at all times. Here, when she is in the kitchen and Richard comes to speak to her, she isn't wearing her hat. In E24, after the break-up when Ross is walking away right after Elizabeth throws water balloons at him, you can see feet on the windowsill, possibly of the person who threw the wate balloons.

Best proposal! Also would you react to heartstopper?

Markus Friedel

I've seen this so often, but every time at the very end of episode 25, I expect Janice's voice to come from the tape 🤣

JT

One of my favorite finales of the entire show! They really are perfect for each other

Jacob

I’ve been waiting for this!!!

skauing

It's such a random thing in the middle of everything that happens in these episodes, but Jennifer's delivery of "the wind in your ha.. aaaarms" never fails to make me laugh, it's probably one of my favourite lines on the show. Great commentary and reaction as always! Do you think you'll ever watch the blooper reels (even if just on your own time)? There's one from the scene where Richard talks to Monica in the kitchen that always comes to mind when I watch that episode now, it's so funny

Penny

Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry made a movie called the whole nine yards in 2000 and the sequal in 2004, it would be worth checking out!

Amanda P

I love Monica but she (unknowingly of course) ruined her own proposal, like why would you shout and get the attention of your ex when you're at a romantic dinner with your boyfriend? 🤦‍♀️ And they both (honestly all of the friends really) need to stop listening to the advice of the others, getting the advice to throw Monica off the trail of him wanting to propose just starts all the damn miscommunication and it's a regular thing in this show that they all listen to bad advice lol it's so frustrating but that's what makes it entertaining I guess 😅 the fact they basically propose to each other is such a Monica and Chandler thing to do. Congrats to your brother!

Jim Schmitz

Talk about a build-up to a payoff....

I have heard that this season was initially supposed to end on the cliffhanger of Richard and Chandler each down on one knee proposing to Monica and she would make a final decision. I'm very glad the idea was abandoned in favor of a much more straightforward story, that doesn't damage Monica as a character. Her frustration is understandable and it is very Chandler-like for him to complicate his proposal in an effort to keep it a surprise. And I think having Richard change his mind was the perfect level of drama to create just a little uncertainty that things would be okay. Great writing honestly and superb acting

Tara

And to think the Monica and Chandler storyline was initially only supposed to last a few episodes of them sneaking around, but the live audience went nuts when they were in bed together during Ross’ wedding to Emily. The writers realized they had something here and changed the storyline

Tara

I would love to watch you react to Heartstopper as a couple of other people mentioned.

Riyuko

How often do you post stranger things?

Girls Always

That's what happened. It was only supposed to be a one-night-stand in London but after the audience's reaction, they changed it

Sarah

Yes, I love that series so much and with the new season just out, it would be perfect timing!

Kelsey

Such a great finale! I love everything about it! The proposal always makes me emotional.

Keeley Thurman

It's once a week, but he has said that it might be slightly longer occasionally. There's no set schedule.

Riyuko

I’m waiting on it lol, I hope he posts today or tomorrow🤞

Cool, I didn’t know it was because of BoB that Ross was missing from the hug at the end. I thought they shot the entire episode on the same day, but shows what I know. Rachel’s joke about how he’s propsed three times has always irked me a little, especially since we know it was Rachel who suggested getting married in Vegas. Unless she actually means he’s done this, as in getting engaged, three times, in which case she’s kind of right-ish. Side-note, when Ross orders Elizabeth and her friends to put their balloons down, I can’t help but hear Captain Sobel.

Tingeling

Congrats to your brother! That’s so great. Funnily enough I’m also following Nick’s (nickflix) ”Friends” reactions with Cody (it’stotallycody), and they posted the reaction to these eps about a month ago or so. They actually had a discussion about how Richard’s proposal is so wrong from our perspective since we’re Team Chandler, but if their roles had been reversed we would be rooting for Chandler to get Monica back. What I love about this episode is that they bring Richard back and he’s still the same character. He’s not suddenly a jerk in order to justify Monica choosing Chandler, which makes it all the more meaningful. She didn’t choose Chandler because he was the only good option, she chose him because she loves him the most. Theirs is my all-time favourite tv proposal. The candles, Monica getting down on one knee, them proposing to each other… And to top it off, Chandler says the perfect words to her. Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox were very close friends IRL and both have often stated that they cried for real in that scene, no acting involved. Kind of makes me sad now, seeing Perry and Bruce Willis share the screen. They were good friends as well, now Perry is gone and Willis is too, in a way.
