The show is really getting to the point where I am constantly reminded that these are just kids in the most bizarre situations. I am loving Steve's arc with the Russians and watching Nancy figure out the mystery behind it all when the odds seem against her. Enjoy :)

Billy's such a layered character. You hate him but also understand why he's the way he is and want him to rise above somehow. I think it's v telling that in every scenario he's miserable, someone who's been taken over. He's not relishing this new position

I don't think Mike was insinuating that Will was gay, I think he was just saying he hasn't matured yet. plus remember this was mid 80's, kids weren't exactly supportive about their friends being gay.

i agree, mike was making a comment about maturity not sexuality. while i do agree that this is the 80s so some kids would not be supportive of that, mike most likely would. he has shown to be a non-judgemental person and he defended will's name when the bullies were making homophobic insults towards him in s1.

I’m fairly sure it’s a double meaning. Mike didn’t mean for it to mean that, but I think it’s meant to hit harder for Will because of the changes he’s going through. I dunno I just think it’d make more sense from a writing POV if it’s meant to be more layered and Mike just didn’t think about how his statement could be interpreted.

The bad room in The Shining was 237 not 403....Mike may have had a clue that Will was gay, even at that age you can see, and feel things that give hints...plus in a later season...well, Oscar will find out in time....

As long as you are having fun it does not matter how you sound (barely noticible anyway). Hope you get well swiftly (: I can see why this might have put some fans off it is certainly the start of the show getting darker more reguarly. Personally I definitely think Will is intended to be a LGBT+ character by the writers and that this moment is an early hint at that. But it's open to interpretation.

eleven collapsing into mike's arms at the end was actually millie collapsing from exhaustion, because you can see finn look off to the side, but it works so well with the scene.

also i've seen people complain over will, lucas, and max not trying to help when el's being strangled, but it makes so much sense: will's been taken over by the flayer before so he has that entire trauma, max has been abused in some way by billy, and billy threatened to kill lucas and nearly beat him up just bc of his skin colour, and could've killed steve for defending him. they're literally frozen in fear, because if that's normal billy, what's flayed billy gonna be like towards them? mike has no such qualms so he's literally the only one there who can do it without too much consequence.

I agree with mike, I understand Will has trauma but he still called El stupid harshly so. The person who is basically the reason he is not dead. Frankly Mike was nicer about it than he should have been, because he didn't say anything that wasn't true. Will's issues are not his problem and its always bothered me that he was guilt-tripping his friend. The truth may have been harsh but Will needed to hear it because they are growing up and no amount of pretending otherwise will change that

I really feel like Will is an under-used character this season. He could have had a much more in depth part. I love the Alexi/Murray storyline. It's so fun. Please rest, everything else can wait!! I'm a mom so I know what I'm talking about. 🙃 But this was still a fun reaction.

Sorry, I… I just got it - to make sure no one else comes in.” Umm… yeah, I guess that too, but mainly because any kind of background white noise helps El drown out other sounds and focus better. She’s used static from TV and radio quite a few times now. And any kind of blindfold over her eyes helps block light. A sensory depravation tank (like you saw her use in Season 1) would be ideal, but she has had to make do with less for shorter, less intense sessions. Also, I know you’re not going to listen, but I’ll still say it because I care - prioritize your health, get more sleep, and stop apologizing for your sniffles and voice changes that are barely noticeable to the human ear. Or at least to human ears that are far more focused on your reactions and what you’ve got to say! But seriously, love you, and take care! 🤗

I think, just for clarification, Mike doesn't actually *know* anything about Will's sexuality for sure at this point in time, but has clearly picked up on the fact that, unlike the other boys as they're growing up, Will doest seem interested in girls/dating. I think he's oblivious to the connotation he's actually implying, because he's young and a bit immature still. Just wanted to clear that up because I agree, if he actually did know that for sure it would come off as a really cruel statement rather than a bickery comment between two young friends arguing.

No but whining does, the thing I don't like about Will is that he doesn't just say to his friends “I wish we hung out more without taking about relationships” no he makes his friends feel guilty for being in relationships and then gets defense when they call him out on it.

to be fair, they are supposed to be what 13- 14? Expecting a mature way of dealing with problems (stemming from the evolving nature of their friendships/relationships) from a young teenager is asking a bit much. AND, part of what fuels the drama is the not understanding. We as viewers know that they could have handled it in a simpler fashion... but the characters don't know this/have not had as much life experience to realize this.

But Will has PTSD and missed out on basically everything that happened in the last couple of seasons. He needs his friends and his roots and they aren’t there. I can’t blame him for being upset. I feel like everyone has a good point in this show and it’s why it’s so good.

That was a communal shower, having the showers running wouldn't stop someone from entering. The reason the showers were turned on was for the white noise it provides Eleven. If you pay close attention to every time she does her little person-finding trick, you'll notice that there is always some form of white noise present, whether it be radio/tv static or a group of showers running in tandem.

Another thing about Will not really "moving on" or "growing up" is that in season 1, they all basically had an insane adventure WITHOUT him, and in season 2 again, he was basically not part of much of the adventure.

Idk I realize that he is probably frustrated and confused but that's all the more reason that he should at least tell his friends that his feelings are hurt. The way he comes across to Mike (who lacks the ability to recognize his mistakes until he is told directly) he probably just thinks that will is being a brat and I don’t blame him for thinking that because that’s how Will was acting. I mean calling El stupid doesn’t give Mike any reason to think that will is genuinely struggling and hurt. It just makes it seem like Will doesn’t give a crap about the fact that El is someone Mike has grown to really care about

Plus their just a bunch of kids still! Like they've been through and seen a lot already but watching this person (who they already have trauma around) choke their most powerful friend would definitely trigger fight or flight of some type and they hit the frozen part ;-; I feel awful for them but glad Mike managed to snap out of it to do something!

Yeah I think I would agree with the comment above me. Mostly bc she was just very meek and submissive so quickly when he said that to her, as if she was kind of scared. At least that was my take away from the scene.

It wouldn't mean 9:00 either. Assuming when it says blue and yellow meet in the west it means when they overlap one another on the left side of the clock, this would not occur at 9:00 seeing as how the 2 hands would be 90 degrees apart from each other with one hand pointing straight up. Closest approximate time without meticulously testing it I would say is around 8:40. This is the closest approximate time to when the 2 hands would overlap on the left side of the clock.
