I really loved exploring Monica's past and why she made some of the decisions she made in her life. Also the cliff-hanger at the end was amazing! Enjoy :)

The Thanksgiving episodes never disappoint 😂

Rhetorical Thrill

The best Thanksgiving episode! I think you did miss the timeline there for the Monica stories, the first one where Chandler called her fat was in 1987 and the second one was a year later.

You lived with 5 other guys in a 3-bedroom place? That sounds like sitcom material, right there! I'm a little annoyed how the Rachel-Danny storyline is playing out. Danny is one of the very few who haven't fallen under the Princess Rachel spell and I liked him for that, and thought there was potential for a scenario where Rachel might be motivated to get over herself and experience a more mature relationship. But she doesn't show even the tiniest sign of self-awareness and I fear Danny will just be another pointless episode on her loooong journey back to Ross. I guess that's fine and good for some laughs - which, after all, is what puts the "com" in sitcom. I love how Joey is able to amuse himself anywhere, any time!

We are nearing closer & closer to my all time fav Friends episode - Ep 14 🥰 I’ve always eagerly watched & sang to the opening credits because each season was updated with reminders of every character’s quirks but mainly it cheered me up immensely. It was great to see you bop along to the opening credits of episode of ep 7. I hope things are going better for you Oscar ♥️

The first Thanksgiving at the Gellers was in 1987 and the second was a year later in 1988. The show started in 1994. I love the Thanksgiving flashbacks and I love Chandler & Monica. Chandler's "I love you" was so sweet and natural. And yes, I think a big reason for Monica becoming a chef was because of Chandler. I was never a fan of the Rachel and Danny storyline. Rachel just looked so desperate, kind of how she was with Joshua. Fun facts: Chandler bouncing up in the air when Monica sits on the couch in the flashback was suggested by Matthew. Chandler's toe being severed was a play on the fact that Matthew was missing part of his right middle finger. Matthew grew a goatee specifically for the scene where Joey scared him with the turkey. Also, Chandler's haircut during the first flashback at Ross and Monica's parents house resembles the style made popular by 1980s band A Flock of Seagulls. In the second flashback Ross and Chandler are wearing outfits inspired by the characters from Miami Vice. Joey getting the turkey stuck on his head is a reference a Mr. Bean episode called "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean".

That "oki doki" at the beginning was one of the cutest thing I have ever heard! Yep I just stopped watching to say that! Cuteness overload 🤣

Tingeling

Yeah, I really think Rachel cannot comprehend the idea that a guy she likes wouldn’t be attracted to her. For one, she’s gorgeous. For another, she was spoiled her entire upbrining, which gave her a sort of ”princess mentality”. For a third, they’ve implied throughout the show that most men she’s liked have in fact been attracted to her. She was really popular in high school, Ross pined for her for almost a decade, Jean-Claude van Damme wanted to go out with her after meeting her for all of eight seconds, and in one of the earlier seasons she comments how all guys who’ve said they’d call her actually called (unlike Monica, whom they usually didn’t call apparently). All that said, I don’t particularly like the whole Danny subplot. It doesn’t really do Rachel any favours as a character, instead bringing out her less than wonderful sides. One thing I’ve always wondered - how did they breathe with their heads in the turkeys? Wouldn’t their necks block air from getting in? Obviously they made sure the actors could breathe in the prop turkeys, but if one were weird enough to try that IRL?
