Outlander 5X11: Journeycake (Patreon)

Okay, so, while the end of this episode was exciting, a lot of this was just Brianna and Roger deciding to leave. It also kind of felt just like a filler episode to get to the finale, whatever that's going to be. (I assumed the last episode would be what happened in the finale, but it didn't so now 🤷‍♀️).

Since they figured out that Jemmy can go through the stones, they plan their departure. Saying goodbye to everyone, and whatever. I feel sort of sad, but this took up way too much time in the penultimate episode of the season.

The Brown's (yes, I had to look up their name) come to Jamie to ask him to join their security force (or whatever it is). He declines, but while there, Claire examines his wife and suspects she's being abused by the husband. And he may (or may not) realize that Claire is, if fact, Dr. Rawlings.

After Brianna and Roger leave, there is an explosion at the still and Jamie and boys run to figure it out. Claire stays behind to tend to patients when they are attacked. I assume by Brown's men/family, but I'm not sure. Marsali herded Germain under a table and she and Claire try to fight. Marsali is knocked out and Claire is taken.

Once the men are gone, Germain runs to Fergus and tells him that mom won't wake up and the bad men took Claire. After rushing back to the surgery, the find Marsali alive, but unconscious, but Claire is missing. Jamie lights his fealty fire (this is what I'm going with here) in hopes to get a group (I think) to search for Claire.

Also, after Brianna, Roger, and Jemmy go through the stones, it's obvious something has gone wrong, but I don't know what. I'm guessing they ended up at a different place? Maybe?
