Felicity 4X1: The Declaration (Patreon)

And we are 100%, no question about it, back in the triangle. Ugh. Ahhh! How is it possible it's season four and we are in exactly the same place we were in, in season one. I hate it!

Anyway, Felicity and Noel had the perfect NYC summer (which I don't think exists, but sure) while Ben was away at EMT training the whole time. Javier is concerned about it, but Felicity tells him not to be.

So Ben finally comes home, and he and Felicity tend to be reconnecting well. She tells him she's secretly relieved he decided not to be an paramedic, because then she would be the only one who didn't know what they wanted to do with their life. He confesses that he doesn't want to be a paramedic, but a doctor. And this throws Felicity into a tailspin.

And of course, dad would show up now, to berate Felicity for her bullshit art degree and tell her it's time to get back into medicine. She goes to Noel (not Ben) to get strength for the conversation and basically tells dad to shove it. She'll get a loan and pay for the rest of college herself.

But after meeting with the loan people, she's running late, which makes Ben miss his first pre-med class and he's pissed as hell. It's all grumpy, annoyed Ben from here on out. Which is probably what pushes Felicity to end up on the roof with Noel as they kiss at the end of the episode.
