I really don't think Eric realized how good he had it as the coach of the Dillion Panthers. Over in East Dillion, he's got nothing. I honestly don't even know how they are paying him. Especially after the principal told him he was offered the job as a joke and no one expected him to accept it. His fundraising goes so poorly, that he has to give cash to Riggins and have him hand it out the townspeople to put in the helmets.

They really have zero money over here. Eric wrote a check out of his personal bank account for $3000 for only part of the uniform payment (which, he totally didn't have and lied to Tami about, by the way).

And money is not the only issue. These kids, don't really even know how to play football. Eric is really truly building this whole thing from scratch. And I'm not sure he's doing it correctly. I'm no coach, but this team doesn't know him. Why would they respond well to being berated and screamed at by him? Apparently, he doesn't have time for 'sensitivity training' but these kids are gonna turn on him soon. I would. He's not giving them any help! That works when the kids know the game, but these kids don't! Hell, Landry had to learn how to punt from a random girl on the field.

As much as I enjoyed Buddy telling off all the Panther people, I don't think it's going to amount to much. They don't want him there. Eric sort of tolerated his antics, but these guys don't care about (and kind of actively ignore) him.

I'm done with Matt interning for this artist. I get the point of unpaid labor, but I'm very against it. I hate the idea that you're supposed to be grateful to haul around trash. I feel like an unpaid internship should be an exchange. Like the barter system. I'll haul your trash for 10 hours a week, you teach me how to weld art for 10 hours a week or whatever. Plus this guy is just a dick.

Well the Dillon Panthers didn’t always know Eric. You have to remember at the start of the show, he was a brand new coach for the panthers and the only one that knew him was Jason because Jason had played for him in Pop Warner but the rest of the team weren’t familiar with him. There was an episode where Smash mocked him on TV while doing an interview and Eric made the whole team run in the mud in the rain to get them to respect him
