Status Update 11/12/2019!
- Well drats! The update hit me face on like a brick wall. Good news is that I fixed the CTDs (crash to desktop) in my dev build. Which was the hardest thing to fix because I had no bug reports to go off at all. Just a crash to desktop. I ended up having to do 50/50 *within* my mod until I narrowed down and fixed the culprit. Then I preceded to work through 6 pages of tunning error mod-generated bug reports (after I patched the tuning error notifier mod for modders). Leaving scrirpt errors, which I've started on but there are still quite a few left to look at. I'm sorry that the hotpatch isn't going to be ready for tonight but, unless I run face first into some more next level bugs like that CTD error, I fully expect to release it tomorrow. Thank you for all of your support! We'll get through this update!
Uh oh, Uni time is coming!
This week The Sims 4 is going to release their next expansion pack The Sims 4 Discover University https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/packs/expansion-packs/the-sims-4-discover-university . Ahead of an expansion always comes the 'pre-patch.' It's the pre-patch, irregardless of you owning the new expansion or not, that causes the most mods to break and while the Expansion pack day can and does break more mods, usually the pre-patch is worse.
For the above reasons, I strongly recommend you guys turn off updates (Application Settings-> Automatic Game Updates off) and set origin to offline mode before the pre-patch drops if you plan to play the sims 4 between now and by the time your favorite modders patch everything for the new expansion pack.
Or you can play with mods disabled and go off to discover university while your modders discover bugs :D
