Hello friends! It's been an eventful week, with the game's first public release on Monday. A couple hiccups, but overall it went pretty well I think.

Thanks to everybody who's pledged. You're early adopters of sorts and I appreciate you!

I'm still finding my rhythm with all this but I think I'm going to try to make Friday dev diaries my habit. I don't wanna spam y'all, but I also want to keep you updated, so hopefully once a week is a happy medium.

Anyway here we go!

Best Friend's Dorm

I finished a small content update yesterday that adds the best friend's dorm as a location in evening hours. Hanging out here will help with your attention and relaxation needs. There are also a few new erotic scenes.

Grab it if you haven't! Your existing save is always compatible with updates. There are also a few bugfixes in there if you haven't updated since earlier in the week.

NPC Relationships

Most of the feedback and questions so far have been regarding NPCs and their relationships to the PC. This has always been an aspect of the game I've intended to deepen and it's seeming like that should become a priority, so I'm going to spend some time doing that.

  • Turn-ons/turn-offs: NPCs should be more or less attracted to certain aspects of your character. For more reactivity, they should also comment on these things sometimes.


  • Romantically-minded: Most every NPC is an unrepentant horndog (lampshaded by the fact F-K U is a notorious party school) but some would actually rather date you than be your one night stand. This isn't currently obvious because Lust is much easier to raise than Romance and there aren't that many romantic interactions. But that's something I can begin to change.


  • Interacting: As you've probably noticed, most NPC interaction comes through random events and if there's somebody standing in the room with you that you want to chat with, well, usually you can't do much about it directly. I went back and forth on this during development, and I kind of still am. I might begin to let you use your phone as a tool for arbitrary socializing, and I'm also going to start letting you invite NPCs to activities, which brings me to...


  • Hangouts and dates: Naturally this is a big part of college life and therefore something I should simulate. Hanging out with a specific NPC you're interested in should be a whole activity with its own event set. I'll start with two or three hangout types, and this is something that can be expanded later as more locations are developed.

So I'm starting with that. There are a lot of different aspects of the game I want to expand and deepen and it feels like there are ten things I need to prioritize all at the same time, but given the feedback, this seems like a decent place to start. Adding hangouts will also give you more things to do in evening and weekend hours, which is definitely a good thing.
