Happy Saturday Ali cats, I hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far. I wanted to give a little hello since we've gotten more patrons! No pressure to comment but I do want to say welcome and thank you ♥

I had a lot of fun reading "The Raven" for you all so your comments made me very happy! I'm going to be replying to them later while drawing so I look forward to a relaxing night tonight :) I may try to record a ramble too if the windy weather calms down. I mentioned this on youtube already but moving forward I really need to push myself to learn how to draw/edit on my iPad. For that reason, I may have a few weeks where I only do one youtube video. Patreon always gets one on Friday though so no changes here :P

Song of the week is by one of my all-time favorite artists. Whenever I mention her I always get met with "I love her too" or "Who is that?" lol. She really is amazing though so I'm going to suggest my favorite song by her this week: "Hyperballad" by Björk.

For those new, I do song suggestions every week so feel free to suggest one of your own to share ♥

Definitely in the camp of “who is that?” haha, she’s signing about some pretty heavy stuff in that song though. The fact that the song is has that pop sort of vibe adds to the the idea that she’s hiding her depression from her partner to spare their relationship. Kinda reminds me of Hey Ya in that sense, a pop song masking sad lyrics. Actually that’ll be my suggestion, not the OG Hey Ya, but a cover done by EDEN that makes the song sound as sad as the lyrics. Good luck with learning the new tablet!

Both versions of that song are really good, I really like when a song can have a less than happy meaning but can be upbeat.

I'm definitely one of the "who?" people for this recommendation, the song was reminds me of a few other songs I know of, relatively upbeat with some sad lyrics. As for my recommendation, I'm actually running out, and I'm forgetting what I've already recommended, so I'm really treading the wire. I don't think I've recommended 'Pittsburgh' by The Amity Affliction yet?

Oh, I don't think I've heard this band before. If I have, I don't recognize the name or maybe heard them in passing. Kinda sad I haven't heard this until now though because they seem right up my alley with the music I like. That song was really, really good! Damn, you all got some killer recommendations this week. Thanks for sharing Pro! :)
