Hello everyone! Here is the other ramble I planned on posting during my roadtrip that got unexpectedly delayed lol. I didn’t take into account that hotel WiFi is crap so here it is now that I’m finally home!

I plan on having the bakadere clown audio out this Friday, she’s currently in the process of being drawn :P

**I wanted to make a note of this after listening to this audio: Just because I have a few years of experience making and selling art please don’t consider me a professional when it comes to PayPal, taxes, etc. because I’m definitely not haha! I just wanted to be open and honest about my own experiences in hopes that it may be able to help others and to entertain :)

I'm in the midst of of trying to decide on a career change and I've been wanting to do something more creative like potentially involving art so it's nice to hear about some of your knowledge on the subject. Though it did kind of support what I already suspected in that doing commissions sounds like not a great time. if I'm making art I'd want it to be what I want to make. Motivation/inspiration is difficult enough to find even without forcing yourself to create what other people are telling you to make.

Thanks for your comment Lamestar and I’m happy to hear that my experience can help in some way! I will admit that when I first started doing commissions as a young adult my perspective going into it was completely wrong. I thought it would be fun every day since I’d be drawing but I can say that was not my experience at all looking back. *edit because I hit enter too soon lol: Don’t get me wrong, I still had fun drawing, but the majority of what you draw is not going to be what you necessarily like or want to do. At the end of the day it’s to make money which changes things a lot.

Almost all of this knowledge is completely foreign and useless to me lol! It is neat to hear about some of the business side of things though even if I will never apply this knowledge. I must imagine that it can be quite a lot to juggle considering you don't want to lose clients.

I’m glad you enjoyed it Joker! :D There is a lot to handle for sure. I didn’t even get into the part about selling prints/merch etc. because that’s a whole other can of worms lol. I never really dabbled in that myself but it’s something I’ve looked into a lot and would love to do someday!
