Copyright laws I thought only applied to videos on YouTube because a lot of Patreon people don't edit their videos that end up on patreon. It gives incentive for switching from watching it on YouTube to Patreon. Maybe things are different now since I last a new stuff about it, but I figured I'd say something just to help you guys out if it helps 😅

Haylo

Copyright laws apply to the actual content itself! Our reservation is because if Netflix (or whoever) wanted to sue us for infringement they absolutely could. We do it this way because we're confident that we'd win a fair use case if it came down to it. We wish we could show the whole thing, but it's kind of risky!

Ben Asay

Forgive me, I didn't know the other patreon people were putting up a risk I just assumed because they had it up unfiltered that Patreon was safe.

Haylo

No need to apologize! To each their own! We're just scared for those reasons 😱

Ben Asay

I just wish I had a way to watch along 😂 I don't own a computer or laptop 😞🤣

TOOKIE

Hey if you have a android you can Google "how to play 2 videos at the same time on Android" it has a video. Thats what I'm using cuz I don't have a computer as well. Im watching Netflix and Patreon at the same time on my Samsung galaxy s9 📱 same deal with an iPhone. Just Google it

TOOKIE

I hope so. I had to download an app called Goodluck and from there they had a "sound assistant" option. Clicked on it and chose which 2 streaming apps to control the sound levels, Netflix to about 65% and patreon 100% and thats how I started watching split screen. Patreon is a full screen and Netflix is a little screen.

Ben Asay

Yeah I'm googling and reading stuff now. About Avatar though. I hope they love it! It's so awesome! They did such an amazing job!

TOOKIE

Good luck bro. I personally didn't like the 1st live Avatar movie so I didn't bother with the series. But u seemed pretty confident about it. I hope they, as well as I, like it just as much

Ben Asay

Dude it's not even comparable. The 2010 live action is a dumpster fire. They couldn't even get the names right. This one pays complete respect. Even with the changes they had to make with condensing, they're hitting all the right beats. I hope you can give it a chance. I'm not trying to pressure you or nothing 😅

TOOKIE

Your bragging is enough to pull a crowd. I will be watching and ill get back to u as soon as I'm done with the series

Ben Asay

I was just excited 😅😅 wasn't trying to be extra my bad lol. That's cool, can't wait to hear what you think. I would say the only thing that I would have to say about it that's not positive but isn't even a big deal to me. Is there is some scenes that you can tell there's a green screen but it's not that immersion breaking.

TOOKIE

U good bro 👍 don't be ashamed. I meant that as a compliment. About the green screen, I aint worried too much. Its only so much u can do right.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air!

This is one show I never watched as a kid. I do remember bits and pieces though. I have started watching the live action and love it so far! You guys should check out Wheel of Time on prime next!

Green Hog

I actually dislike this show a lot. The casting is terrible. The few changes take away from the characters. The element bending is also so poorly executed. The movie was 100x better made

2024-02-28 01:10:15 EXTINGUISH! xD Was really happy watch this reaction. I have not seen the show, the movie or the animated series, so I'm going in kinda blind (just knowing the cliff notes and general theme). I'm not sure I would have watched this series on my own tbh, but watching it alongside your reaction made it really enjoyable! Was also cool to see how excited you were from recognizing stuff from the original show. Without having seen the animated series, I agree that kinda seemed a little....generic? But maybe (hopefully) his character development will get more intriguing. Quick question, have you guys seen The Sandman on Netflix? If not, I wonder if that might be something you would find interesting. Anyways! I'm excited to watch more of this series (and The Haunting of Hill House!). Hope you will also watch The Haunting of Bly Manor in the future. :)
