you should check out" Arcane: Bridging the rift" on youtube.. covers all the behind the scenes from start to finish, choices for soundtracks, everything. Cannot recommend it enough.

Please watch Bridging the Rift! It has no spoilers. And yes, Arcane won 4 Primetime Emmy Awards (with a total of 5 nominations), 9 Annie awards (animation award ceremony), and a bunch of individual awards, such as the Golden Reel Award for sound editing, Hollywood Critics Association TV Award for best animated streaming series or show, The Game Award for Best Game Adaptation, British Film Editors Cut Above Award for editing in animation, and a bunch of other nominations. The world of league of legends (and arcane) is huge. Season 1 was focused on literally one city and maybe 10 of the 160~ characters in the game (most of the show characters are unique to the show). The first season is also not the main story of league of legends, just one of the studio's favorite character backstories that they chose essentially at random as a good starting point.

you guys need to react to League of Legends 2021 championship opening ceremony It's Arcane themed and it's FIRE!!!

Bridge scene #1!

PlasteredPear

hextech may have been at a differnt power level than shimmertech but all piltover had was jace and vi once they were injured or killed the nation of Zaun would have won because any one could be turned in to a shimmer goon and would have wiped the enforcers out so, it would have turned out like ww2 the vastly superior germans with there fancy tanks wiped out by tens of thousands of Russian peasants armed with 50 year old rifles.

Now that season one is over for and I re-watched it with you guys, I still don't get my head around how perfect this show is. There are no flaws. The animation, the sounddesign, the music, the score, the editing, the voice cast, the worldbuilding and most important of all, characterdesign and story, everything 👌😍. The heartbraking bridge scene in the beginning set the tone for whole show, with only some light moments here and there. I never saw a show that challenged as well my intellect and my emotional perseverance this much. The writing was fantastic, everything makes sense, nothing was random or forced, the characters decisions where always understandable and had consequences. The writers found the perfect pacing for the show. Fast enough to keep you on your toes and slow in the right moments to bond with the characters or to let the full emotional impact of a scene play out. The worldbuilding was out of this world. Every shot, every scene was meticulously planned, every drawing, every item had it's meaning. It either foreshadowed something or told you something about a character or you learned a little more about the world they live in. So I, who never played LoL or one of the many spin-offs, got pretty fast a pretty good feeling for the world this story takes place in. As a result of the amazing writing you get very involved emotionally with the two sisters right from the beginning. At it's core, this is a villain origin story. And it is so believable, so gripping, so heartfelt, so realistic (psychologically), you just can't help rooting for Powder/Jinx, even when she turns to the bad side. Because you see a very lovable, very intelligent and sensitive girl getting hit in the face by life so hard and so often, until she breaks. And that breakes your heart. 😭💔 The beauty of the story for me is, that it doesn't stop there. It shows the consequences her downfall has for those who are around her and how it changes - or ends - their lives. It shows parallel the world where they grow up in and why it is, like it is. I want to reflect your thoughts in a questionnaire style - of course totally subjective: (I'm not limiting to the one best of something, because there where to many bests of everything😅🙈) - Most loved main characters (my personal favorites): Caitlyn, Powder, Vi, Vander, Viktor - Most loved supporting characters: Ekko, Sevika, Caitlyns mother, Grayson - Most fascinating characters (from a storytelling point of view): Jinx, Silco, Mel, Viktor - Best episodes: 3, 7, 9 - Best scenes: The bridge at the beginning; The end of episode three; The whole "tea party"; Silco sitting at Vanders statue; The bridge fight between Jinx and Ekko; Caitlyn and Vi in the brothel; Caitlyn investigating at the ship; Jinx fighting against Vis highscore. Or with Kiss' words - "Everything!" 😍 - Best moments: Vi jumping infront of the beautiful portrait of a woman; Ekko showing the mural; Young Vi breaking down and cry when she sees her dead mother and Powder hugs her. 😍🙈 - Best lines: "You're hot, cupcake!"; "In the pursuit of great, we failed to do good."; "It's not enough to give the people what they need to survive, you have to give them something to live."; "I only wanted to help, I only wanted to help, I only wanted to help!"; "Violet please come back! Please Violet, I need you!"; "Are you real?"; "Are we still sisters?" (The last ones from Powder/Jinx still make me cry 😭) - Best songs: Our Love; What Could Have Been; Enemy; - Best music: The bridge; The Hexgates launch; The violin concert; The shower scene; - My special prize goes to the beautiful love story of Caitlyn and Violet. I so hope they get some kind of happy end at the next season. 😨🙏💔 They are nowhere near being a couple, but it is clear they care deeply for each other, far beyond any normal friendship. The creators confirmed that this is a real love story, not just "queer-baiting". Oh and they said they have two things for Caitlyn and Vi in store next season - one thing we would love and one we would hate...😅🙏😨😭🙈 Kiss, I like that Caitlyn is your favorite character and that you see the same qualities in her as I do...🤩 Like you Haylo, I fear for everyones life in the council, but I don't think all of them will die. The gold implants on Mels body lit up shortly before the impact, that could mean she had some kind of alert or protection. Viktor is half-hextech, maybe that will protect him and Jayce beside him somehow. And the power of Jinx' weapons was overrated before, after all she survived her own grenade exploding beside her. The cut from Caitlyns terrified and desperate face to her mother though could mean that she is among the victims. From a storytelling viewpoint it would be the perfect motivation for Cait to go after Jinx. 🙈 As for plot-armor: I think there is none, at least for season 2. The writers stated several times, that just because a character exists in the game, it doesn't mean that they survive in the show. Regarding Sevika: I don't think she will be the new leader. It's not in her nature and she knows that. She is the perfect right-hand (wo)man - a fighter, not a politician. She is very much like Vi in that regard. I would guess she picks up the pieces of Silcos organization and looks for a new leader. 🤔 On the IMDB scale I would give the show a 12/10! 😍 That wraps it pretty much up. Now we have to wait patiently for the launch of season two and it's going to be a looong wait... 😍🙋🏻‍♂️ Thanks for your first full-length reactions to a tv-show being "Arcane", I liked them all so much and I look forward to more movie and tv-show reactions from you! 😊✨👌💖🙋🏻‍♂️

Sorry, I don't mean to make you angry, but I have to disagree with you. 🤔🙂 Firstly, the Enforcers would not only have Vi and Jayce, you can assume that they would have more of those hammers and gauntlets in a very short time, they have the knowledge, the resources and the money. That is why Jayce (and Silco by the way) knew, that Zaun couldn't win against Piltover. Secondly, not every Zaunite would be willing and able to fight the well trained and equipped Enforcers. There were people who still thought Vanders way of peace would be the better way, they just were oppressed or driven to exile or killed by Silco and his men. Silco himself knew he would never win a war against Piltover, he tried "to scare them", as he said himself, to be taken seriously in negotiations about the independence of Zaun. From Jayces view, even he as a relatively untrained fighter whipped the Shimmer fighters butt with his Hextech-Laser-Gun-Hammer. Had it come to a fight between him and Vi I am not shure if Vi really would have won, just because Jayces weapon has to much power and above all a much wider range than Vis gauntlets. He probably would have lost the moment Vi could get close to him though. 🤔 And we don't know (at least not from the show) if there are more people living in Zaun or in Piltover and how many people from Piltover are willing to join the enforcers to fight. And thirdly, your comparison doesn't match. The german army being outnumbered by the russian red army didn't cause their downfall, it was failure of logistics over endless distances and first and foremost the miscalculation of the weather. The spirit of the russian army and people and their numeric superiority was a major factor in deciding the war at the end, when the german army was already defeated at Stalingrad and Moscow and retreating. In both battles the harsh russian winter was the biggest reason for the defeat. And it is a myth, that the russian army had nothing or only old equipment. It was a wild mixture of everything. They still had many tanks and some planes (even if they were old) and received a large amount of weapons, cars and and ammunition from the United States, a bit like Ukraine nowadays. 🙂

I've noticed a couple of very minor mistakes in the plot, though they could have (unsatisfying) explanations: - In episode 6, Silco says to Vi while Caitlyn is near, "Candidly, I thought you were the prize of your secondhand family. But Jinx..." Later that episode, Caitlyn is shocked to learn Jinx was Vi's sister. OK, maybe she wasn't listening. Or maybe she was slightly out of earshot. I think it was probably just a mistake. - When Silco meets the chem barons and Sevika releases the gas, he doesn't need a mask. OK, so he lives in the trenches and is used to it. But why does Sevika wear one then? Maybe she just likes wearing a mask?

silverarrow06

I think they aren't mistakes... 🤔 To the first: Caitlyn very obviously didn't get anything of what was said between Silco and Vi, she was very busy finding a way out and tries all the time to de-stabilize the water tower. Silco by the way stood ten meters or so away from the entrance to the hut, too far to be understood from someone this distracted. Even if she would have heard Silco, I don't think she would have made the connection in this stressful situation. To the second: This is in my eyes an embellishment to make Silcos point, to show HE did not forget where he came from, that he didn't forget how to breathe in the polluted air. Him using the mask at the end of his monologue before giving it to Finn shows he is affected too, but way less than the others. 🤔 And Sevika maybe lives in the undercity, but was never a worker in the deeper levels of the trenches? We don't know enough about her to do more than speculating. For me this aren't mistakes, but maybe I'm too much of a fan to notice? 🤔😅😊 See, this is the beauty of this show for me, everything can be believably explained. That doesn't necessarily mean that it is meant that way, but the writers leave that open to for you to choose. I love that kind of storytelling. 😊
