Combining the poll here with our Discord poll, the Sub version won out by only 5 votes! We took some advice and went back to watch the first episode again and we do see the difference in emotion. We're excited to continue! Working on getting Ep 8 up asap!

I'm glad you decided to go subbed. You mentioned because there's more emotion, which I agree. I also feel that with most if not all of Anime, subbed just fits the vibe and presentation far better. If I ever happen to hear dubbed while watching Anime it feels so out of place. I think a lot of us would simply call it acquired taste, but I suppose to each they own.

Agreed. The saying "as intended" seems fitting here. Can't touch Gon's VA in HunterXHunter, Hinata in Haikyuu, or Tanjiro here for example. Castlevania on Netflix, a western animation studio? The VA's are so freaking good in English.
