One advice is try to not look up anything related or about JJK at all cuz it easily gets spoiled, people are posting spoilers everywhere especially on Twitter (X) and Tiktok. I got spoiled so many times but I pray you don’t get spoilers at all until you finish the series

I’m so excited you guys are getting to watch this series. It’s one of those that gets better and better. The order goes season 1 , Movie JJK 0, then Season 2. 😊 I’ve been watching anime for like 20 years and this is one of my all time favorite. Hell I’ve even got a tattoo for it 😁 The characters are so endearing and the plot very engrossing! I hope you guys enjoy!

I'm gonna say this now: remember to watch the BLU-RAY VERSION of season 2, there were many animation errors in the original release which are fixed in the blu-ray version so I recommend watching it even if you have to pirate it

I think it’s overhyped, but it’s still good. It probably doesn’t deserve as high of praise as it gets, but it also doesn’t deserve as much hate as it gets. It’s worth watching for the spectacle, if nothing else. It also depends on what you like. It can be a pretty brutal show.

It is overhyped and overrated, the writing is subpar even for a shonen. There's no plot, the characters are one dimensional the only good thing is the fights and animation. Atp it's just about who else they can introduce to kill off next. It's only popular because of Gojo and it's trendy HXH, Bleach, Yu You Hakusho would've been far superior as far as options go

It was a similar deal for MAPPA's AOT for Season 4 Part 1, it looked rough as fuck in the Crunchyroll release, BluRay pretty much fixed all of it. Honestly just watch the BluRay version of any anime possible.

this show is SO FUN to watch. i watched it immediately after Attack on Titan - and if theres one piece of advise I can give you girls, its that you don’t need to stress over trying to understand/remember every little detail. concepts aren’t overly recalled or complicated as it is on Attack on Titan - which only makes this show that much more fun to watch. enjoy it!!! (also try to react to the jujutsu scrolls at the end of the episodes. kind of like “after-credits”).

That may be what you “gathered” but you still can’t form a real opinion until you’ve actually seen something for yourself. Not sure how you don’t get that. And by the way, while I did enjoy season 1, it’s pretty weak. The movie and season 2 are insanely good. And no, it’s not just for “eye candy”

I shared my outsider's/objective observation of how the show is being evaluated (i.e. "mixed") by those who have seen it and how that makes me reluctant to give it a try. That's all. I don't know how any serious person (that isn't involved in the creation of the show) could take personal offense to that.

Nat, the show is mid. This is being objective the writing is trash, there's no coherent story, characters are one dimensional and lack substance, etc. The only good things it has is animation and fights but it's a shone for meatheads, real shonen like one piece, yu yu Hakusho, HXH, Bleach etc are better examples of how to do a shonen all of those are better than JJK btw. Hell even Demon Slayer is better than JJK even though it always gets shit on

As others have said definitely be wary of spoilers but I’m excited to see your reaction to this! One note but if you can, definitely check out the Blu-Ray version for all of season 2, I think crunchyroll has removed some issues but in general it’s a much better experience (someone else has probably mentioned it but it’s definitely worth saying again)
