Great connection of Shadis' advice and Jean's actions and his motivation with the ashy bones of Marco. Armin did choose to channel Erwin's gambling tendancies, but it seems that now he realises those kinds of gambles just aren't worth taking, saying that he can't stack up to the Commander. Now we have the ultimate teamup against our main character Eren yet, as you said, it's beginning to feel hopeful after all this drama and bleakness.

Your visceral dislike of Floch makes me feel justified in mine. There are many who watch this and look up to him, but for me it’s the opposite. I’m glad I’m not alone. Next episode is one of my favorites, can’t wait for Friday!!! 🎉

You guys need another long form anime to watch, like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Or, with how analytical your guys' minds are, I recommend the severely underrated anime, Naoki Urasawa's Monster. Both anime are on Netflix and both have exquisite English dubs.

When that other random Scout asked Mikasa if she was going to join the Jeagerist, and she answered no, the scene that flashes to a shot of her face and then it flashing to Jean is basically implying she was directly staring at Jean as he standing near Floch. Also remember how Jean felt about Mikasa when he first saw her? That will make the opening of the next episode make sense a bit.

While this episode is a little bit more of a build up episode, I really enjoy it. We see the gang reunite but we also get some dialogue around some of the key topics in the show. It’s hard to articulate all my thoughts right now knowing that there’s a lot to come but I hope you both enjoy it! I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet and this isn’t spoilers but the finale of the show was originally split into 2 episodes, each 1.5 hours long. I think they re-released them as individual episodes but on Crunchyroll you still have the 2 1.5 hour episodes. I’d personally recommend watching it in the full 1.5 hour as it flows very well and is clearly split into part 1 and 2, however appreciate you will want to watch it however you want. Just hope you guys enjoy the next few episodes and the finale and excited to watch the reactions!
