Just so you know that wasn’t a flashfoward in time that was a dream lol. A lot of ppl get confused about that part lol. Hence the ep title Dream Within a Dream. Anytime you saw a flashback they gave you the exact time in the show. Toranaga’s flasblack for example it said 45 yrs ago. We didn’t get that in Blackthorne’s part in the beginning

Turns out, we CAN hope for a season 2... and 3. Not sure how I feel about the news, but if Hiro Sanada is still heavily involved as a producer, I guess I'm hopeful?

Yes, it was Toranaga's plan all along. And Crimson Sky was Mariko forcing Ishido's hand and committing seppuku at sunset (when the sky is red = crimson). Thus giving her what she wanted but instead of an empty death she received a death with meaning and purpose, stripping Ishido of his power, taking the heir's army off the battlefield and saving thousands of lives.

I loved your reaction so so much! This is such a good show. Also i hope you will react to Dark next cause its the best show ive ever seen and i think you guys would go nuts over it

Ohh, I second Dark. Didn't expect to see someone recommending it, but what an amazingly constructed show. Just have to mention to watch it in German with English subs (German being the original language). For some people, Netflix defaults to the English dub, and it is not a good dub for Dark!

yesss, as a German i feel pretty proud about it and i also recommend watching it in German, the dub is atrocious. I mentioned it here because they actually did a poll some time ago, and Dark got 2nd place behind shogun, so I'm hopeful they will watch Dark next!

Anjin didn't leave Japan. The rosary in his hand as an old man was indeed Mariko's, but it was a dream he had while unconscious after the bomb. When he dropped her rosary in the ocean that was him not just letting go of Mariko, but letting go of his old life forever.
