Yes memories are a big thing with holders of Titan powers. So Armin hearing the voice of Berthold is par for the course in what we've learned so far. Carissa, hold onto that thought about the reason for the armbands. And consider the events/history and claims/accusations you are about to learn about in the following episodes. I know people like to draw parallels to the events of WW2 but it's just a surface level similarity IMHO. The creator of AoT, Hajime Isayama, is providing a different twist and theme, again IMHO. But it will make sense the more you watch as to why it's not the same. P.S. Notice how the world perspective changes from inside the walls to outside the walls and now to the greater world at large. Along with the major threat being Titans, which can be considered as a force of nature IMHO, to now humans? The world is getting bigger and bigger.

Just a heads up for you two. A LOT of information is gonna be thrown at you in these last few episodes and it'll be very fast and VERY confusing at first. I got lost and overwhelmed trying to keep track of everything, but don't worry the show will do a good job at tying it together for you to understand. Other than that, love your reactions, definitely one of my favorites I've seen so far. And yes, believe it of not, the show still gets better. Enjoy :)

yeah its crazy when i watched this for first time, and the entire show from Season 1-3 youre to believe that this is the only little world we live in and then this episode hits and my entire mind explodes just how they painted it in the show, everything was just a lie and the world is so much bigger than we imagined and we dont know how much bigger, but yeah this episode finallyyyyy we get to the basement!

Your genuine love and curiosity for this show is conveyed so clearly through them, and your passion and excitement to watch each episode is infectious. I would say, Faye has more Armin vibes and Grischa has Eren vibes, the firsts are about wanting to watch the beauty in freedom, while the seconds want freedom for freedom itself.

There's parallels between Faye wanting to see the world from the airship and Eren wanting to see the images in Armin's book. They both want to see the world that is denied to them.
