⛥ 2022 intentions (Patreon)

what's better than one spell candle? 5, that's what. I couldn't sleep tonight until I materialized my intentions for a collective new year spell to help us through the next 364 days. rather than one spell candle, I carved out (haha, get it?) an elaborate 5-part candle spell that I think will be universally useful for each and every one of us. I mean, in the past I tried collecting input from all of you for monthly spells, but y'all aren't the most chatty bunch up here. this is perfectly fine, I'm sure you're used to being humble observers of my work. and I'm usually pretty good at figuring out what people need. so for the occasion, rather than attracting any particular thing or manifesting a specific goal, I created a spell to help us all best navigate the year in question. I took into account conversations with those of you who I'm in fairly regular contact with, themes of the years past that bleed into the near future, aswell as issues that I intuitively feel will be of relevance in the months to come. hence why it had to be broken down into 5 parts. 

1 - black candle. inscribed for banishing distractions, lies and negative influences. anointed with camphor oil and dressed in dragon's blood sage. I feel it is important this year to be able to think clearly and this is becoming increasingly difficult with almost infinite forms of media vying for our attention at all hours of the day. with this candle I am banishing all negative influences on our mental and emotional health, be they the news, gossip, other people's disruptive thoughts and energies or anything else that seeks to throw us off balance. these things will not enter your mind as easily as they used to and will have a harder time swaying your mental state. as you spend more time within your own being, you will start noticing them less.

2 - maroon candle. inscribed for strength, stability and integrity. anointed with sandalwood and cedarwood oil and dressed in a 7 herb blend for the same intent. last year many people have felt out of control, in fear and anger and confusion and uncertainty. in order to prevent this state of powerlessness and distress, I added the second candle to ground you within yourself. the only certainty we can ever have is our own truth, our own values and our own convictions. this part of the spell will enable you to know these things and stand your ground in the face of adversity. with this stable foundation you will be able to take the actions and make the decisions that are best for you. you will be less susceptible to chaos and impulsivity taking over your life. 

3 - dark green candle. inscribed for harmony and balance. anointed with rose oil and dressed in sweetgrass. there has been too much polarity, too much fighting and tension and extremism in 2021. while somewhat justified, this constant and increasing state of tension has been more of a detriment to all people's mental and emotional wellbeing than anyone realizes. I added this candle to manifest harmony and help you get along with the people around you, to find common ground and respect for one another. this will make everyday life feel more peaceful, which sounds trivial, but if peace isn't guaranteed, safety isn't guaranteed. when relationships aren't harmonious, nothing else is. our interactions with one another affect us more than we give them credit for. trust me when I say this is a very important candle right there. 

4 - light green candle. inscribed for renewal, growth, healing and learning. anointed with frankincense oil and dressed in oregano. this candle will help you to embrace the good things that lie ahead. it's easy to look at the future with feelings of dread, given the experience the last few years have given us. this puts our mind in a state of fear and when we act out of fear, we create that which we are afraid of. this part of the spell enables you to count your blessings and be open and optimistic, aswell as receive all the blessings that are undoubtedly waiting for you on your path. I anticipate extremely positive energy in the near future and want you to be open to embrace it and let it aid you in improving all aspects of your existence. 

5 - white candle. anointed with lavender oil and dressed in clary sage and yerba santa. the attracting counterpart to the banishing candle. I added this candle to ensure clarity and peace of mind and heart. to create an atmosphere of purity and calm around you so you may benefit from it in all actions you take and all decisions you make, every single day. 

the rest of the props have been selected to aid one or more of these intentions to increse the spell's potency.

may I, my husband Jack and my cosmic tier patrons by the names of David Ross, Gcvftw, Gellert Grindelwald, Josh Johnson and Leon Schutte, walk on our journey through the year 2022, assuredly, authentically, with passion, strength and clarity, true and content no matter the circumstance, with good will and respect for all who walk alongside us. may our minds be strong and resolute, our hearts of hope, open and good, and may our hurts be fully healed, blessings be fully received, most sacred way to live revealed and us, with love, embracing it. 

this is how I write all my petitions, naming each active patron by name and setting a clear intent. I think this one is pretty self-explanatory, but just in case there is confusion around the terminology of the most sacred way to live, it just means the most fulfilling and in alignment life for each one of you.
