Cat Food Donation 2019 (Patreon)

The shelter cats have been served. 

MY DUDES, I am here to report that I just came home from my weekly errands where, in your names, we managed to donate a fuck ton of cat food to the local shelter. I raided the local grocery store for a variety of cat foods, both wet and dry, for all ages, aswell as treats covering all tier rewards from the new pledges since the last donation and then some. To be honest, I just made sure I had enough cat food to cover the pledge count from Super, Mega, Hyper, Ultra and Cosmic tier and then I kinda

Cat food shopping is by far my favorite kind of shopping. We came out with over 20 kilos of wet cat food, over 12 kilos of kibble and 13 packets of treats for hungry shelter cats and kittens. And two catnip toys. Cause priorities. The shelter staff were pretty busy this morning as I watched a lady instruct doggie walkers for a little while but then we were led to the cat wing to hand in the goods. The young woman who is in charge of the cats greeted us with a polite smile and when she saw the 3 gigantic bags full of food she seemed a little shocked at the amount but happy and grateful for our contribution. I briefly explained the contents and she thanked us and we were on our way. While waiting we did get to watch a cute kitten stretch on top of a cat tree through one of the windows. Very cute kitten which is now stocked on yummy foods for a while. 

This is kind of amazing because it was only a tiny contribution from each individual but amounted to a huge haul for cats and kittens in need. Shelters are often overrun with animals during kitten season and vacation season when irresponsible owners abandon their pets to be able to go on holiday so food is always in demand. This is us making a difference by helping those who help those who can't help themselves. Support [Esc] reality = support kitties. 

From today I start counting again for next year's big haul. And by counting I mean checking off the number of pledges per tier already served and subtracting that from next year's total count. Patreon shows me current and former patrons so even if you don't get to see the next big donation, your pledge counts and always will.
