Judge Dredd Haircut (Patreon)

This one-day-production haircut roleplay takes place in the dystopian world of Dredd (2012). We watched this movie recently and I have reason to believe the director's favorite color is ... neon yellow. It really stuck with me. I've been fixated on making a roleplay in a similar lighting ever since.
That was the whole entire idea at first. Neon yellow. The first thing that came to mind was a haircut roleplay because I've only ever made one of those before (Haircut for Sam) and it's a shame because I love haircut roleplays and I have this amazing HD sound from my recorder and I have professional hair cutting shears... Other people cut their hair (and make videos) with dull af freaking safety kiddy scissors that you would give to an elementary school kid if you needed them to cut something out of cardboard that they could barely manage to separate and I have these beautiful sharp tingly shears and I'm not making all of the haircut roleplays?! That's really low, Ally. Really, really low. I want to try to remedy that. Snipping away at your hair in this cyber future reference laced ASMR roleplay is a start. To be honest, I just avoid it usually because it's difficult to set up the camera, recorder and wig to get a realistic 3D hair cutting experience (no dummy heads on my channel!) and even when I do, like I did here, the editing is just a pain in the ass because the slightest tugging sends vibrations through the recorder that I have to manually quiet down every couple seconds and it makes horrible scratching noises if even one hair from the wig touches the hypersensitive microphones... That's why I'm gonna get that $2000 3dio after I move.
For the purpose of this setup I had to take off the wind shield. Flying hairs scratching at the windshield is the #1 problem I have with haircut roleplays. I spent over an hour just repeating take after take after take of the intro scene until it felt natural enough and 3 more hours after my elephant neighbor came home playing with the lighting in the "livingroom" set and doing two takes of the main (hair cutting) part. I really just wanted a neon yellow background and no other setup made me look good. Please pardon my one yellow lamp. It's been waiting to be used in a video ever since I bought it at a flea market for 5 bucks. It took me more time to let the idea develop in my head than to actually film it and I consider myself lucky I managed to film every scene in the same night. Not all projects turn out like that, especially not the long ones.
It's been pissing me the fuck off that I seem to have less and less quiet time up in here to be honest. I used to record from midnight to 4AM but now the elephant comes home at 1AM and ruins my recordings with the loud thuds of his massive feet that he can't seem to lift up off of the ground when he walks. Then it's noisy again until 3AM and at 4AM my other neighbors start to get up for work. So that's a pain in the ass when I have ideas and motivation for a change. Someone pass me the gin.
But when I do make roleplays like these, I feel like a working actress. It's fun to create different worlds in my videos. Whether it's Shiki or Cyberpunk or Supernatural or random inspired roleplays, a good video to me just requires a good story.
And finally, it goes under a different title on YouTube because I can't afford people being disappointed and disliking my video. It's a good video, I worked really hard on it. Let me know what you think. Outtakes are on the way. I didn't fuck up that bad this time but still.
