Cyberpunk Roleplay // Laser Tattoo Application (Patreon)

Meet Maggie (/Margot) - this new character is your trusty tattoo artist. She's been doing tattoos for a very long time. She's an Aquarius / Cancer Ascendant and I low key feel like looking up birthdays in the future with that constellation just to give my made up world more depth and realism. I think you will find her very charming. I wanted Maggie to have a distinctly different look from, well, any character I ever played, hence the braids and goggles. (Originally, I didn't know what I would use the goggles for - I found them on offer on EMP and just bought them on a whim) ... I also decided I wanted her to have a distinctly different accent than any character I've ever played, just to make the experience more immersive. We've binge watched 4 seasons of iZombie in record time and, well, Ravi's accent bleeds and it sticks. It's stuck on me now. It's not intentional. I was really going for an Australian accent which I tested out in the first version of the tattoo part - and quickly scrapped it because it sounded unnatural and weird. You see, I need about a week of constantly hearing an accent before I'm more or less fluent in it. So I decided, nah... Ravi's accent will do I guess. I tried watching communitychannel a few hours before attempting to film the first take but her accent isn't really distinct enough to really stick and I didn't feel like binge watching Freelee for hours on end just to get into a role lol. Needless to say, that little bit of Aussie influence was not nearly enough to cancel out the Ravi in me.
I really wasn't sure about this scene in particular because the very first thing I noticed was Maggie was being very ASMR-y and not at all edgy and wild. After proofreading the video with Jack just now, I kinda just chalked it up to regular people still existing in a Cyberpunk future. Then again, I did want to get some triggers out of it for ya. Notice the unexpected sticky sounds from the patch, for example. I didn't want to pause for minutes at a time just to needlessly tap on a single item, but still wanted it to be soothing while still being immersive. Do let me know whether you would like a "casual" double video with these two characters. I've been wanting to test out the split screen technique as seen in some "twin" ASMR videos.
Other than that, you can find the artists who submitted their designs for this video in the description along with music credits if a particular song strikes your fancy. They're mostly in order. I just added a lot more of NightmareOwl -- Leave than any other song aswell as starting and finishing with it because it was by far the best one. For this (rather spontaneous) Retrowave theme, I was only able to find 5 songs I'm allowed to use for free that still fit the theme lol. I'm thinking about buying a subscription for a site where you can get licenses in the future, just to save myself some time and nerves.
If you'd like to see the "behind the scenes" for this video, like what the "tech" was actually made out of, let me know and I might put that in the outtakes later. If you don't want me to spoil the magic for you, that's fine too.
I really hope you approve of this video. Right now I have more ideas for videos for the immediate future than I can process so I will work through them one at a time. Some spooky, some friendly, some futuristic - all of which will really use all my laptop's resources just to render. I hope this video provides you a great escape from reality and puts you in a good mood for the work week. Cheers
