Joining the Discord, getting started, etc. (Patreon)

My aim is to make Thinking Basketball content a 360-degree experience, with videos, podcasts, articles and data. Regardless of your subscriber tier, you are supporting the podcasts and videos I publish, and you'll have access to podcast post shows and most patreon-only articles published on Backpicks.com. 

Higher tiers have access to video sneak peaks (when available), the occasional video cut that is published only for subscribers (including one on the 2019 Finals MVP), and a ton of historical data or data related to research for podcasts and videos. There are articles to explore in the archives here https://backpicks.com/archives-2/ and historical metrics under "metrics" on Backpicks. 

The in-season player page includes just about all of the proprietary metrics I've developed over the years in addition to some numbers I use based on play-by-play data for analysis. I also include most of the major one-number metrics out there, so it's a one-stop-shop for player and team analysis throughout the season. Finally, there is a Discord forum moderated by Rob Antle (Research Assistant) and Mike De La Rosa (Video Coordinator). If you have simple questions, message me here on Patreon or reach out to Rob or Mike. If you have deeper questions, we have a Q&A in the Discord every month or so for top-tier subscribers. 

Below are the steps to join the server:

1. Go to your profile settings by clicking on your account avatar in the upper right. 

2. Click on "Apps" at the top of the screen 

3. Under App Integrations, connect to Discord

4.
