Weekly Rant Update : We DIDN'T have to put her down by some miracle. (Patreon)

Alright, so yeah, complete 180 on the last post, and I figure I should probably explain. I don't want the last post to sit there with you guys thinking that I just put her down.
TL;DR - Our dog has a broken jaw that they cannot set, but the dog is acting like nothing is wrong so the Vet went from, and I quote "very pessimistic about her chances" to, "Very hopeful". We aren't out of the woods yet, but we are going to see if her body can do the healing on its own.
Longer Versions - Our little dog, about 5 lbs, got into a fight with a bigger dog, about 50 lbs. It punctured her face and leg, ripped a large gash under her tongue and broke her jaw. More specifically, lower jaw, in front of the canine teeth on both sides, so the sides of her lower jaw are not connected. They couldn't really do anything at our vet, so they gave us 3 options. Put her to sleep, just let it be and see how she fares, or take her to a specialist for an estimated $5000 operation. Vet was "very pessimistic" about the outcomes though, she didn't think she was going to eat due to the amount of damage to the mouth.
So, In the morning yesterday I had called and scheduled to have her put down. We were going to go in and say our goodbyes and that would have been it. But when we got there the vet came in, big smile on her face, and told us that her opinion had changed. They were going to suture her up but, me calling had stopped them. They decided to go ahead and see if she would eat instead. She plowed through her food and then her and the vet went outside and she actually walked around and did her thing like absolutely nothing was wrong. She was active and happy by the looks of it.
She told us that she wants us to give it a shot now, see if her body can heal. She will always have a goofy looking lower jaw. Something of a "slack-jaw" she said, but she is eating and doesn't resist her medicines and plays in the yard, then let her body try. The outcome isn't 100% though. We will have her re-evaluated on tuesday and if she is still in good spirits and doesn't have major infection, they will do some suturing on her mouth and we will see what happens. The odds are probably still 50/50, but we are hopeful. I'll keep you guys posted, and keep it a bit shorter in the next weekly rant.
