We join Sarah Friend, core developer from talk-of-the-town project Circles UBI to discuss the crazy few weeks they have been having trying to give away a UBI through social trust networks. We pull apart how the project works and discuss the history of local currencies, potential dystopian scenarios, "weird fatigue" and the turbulence of pursuing an art practice that involves building things that do stuff.

We went on a recording frenzy this past week so have a bunch more great episodes lined up. Hope you are all good!

interdependence

haha appreciate it - its really important to hammer home that when discussing the crypto space there are so many competing ideas as to how these tools may be implemented. I find it so much more constructive to sample those different approaches rather than the common scenario which straw mans the whole space

This was a great episode. Really appreciate Sarah’s very full and thoughtful approach to the social consequences of different technical and product considerations. Got a lotta thoughts out of this one.
