Update time!

Where does the time go? I spent most of my time this week polishing the third girls first date. I’m still a little behind schedule with it, but hopefully by pushing a bit during next week, I’ll have everything ready in time. All background art for this date is now done. Phoenix has completed the sexy date reward CG already and is hard at work on one final piece of art required for this date. So now it’s a race between us to see who’ll get their task done first. Here’s a mid work sneak peek for ya :)

Yes, this is how pros communicate character positions to artists.

If all goes to plan, I’ll be sending out one last patron only release sometime after next weekend, after which I’ll be focused on polishing out any remaining bugs, and preparing banner assets, marketing copy, and other such prerelease tasks. As you know, the marketer hat doesn’t suit me all that well, but I’m learning to accept it as a necessary evil.

Now, it’s been a while since I last gave a shout out to a game I liked. So tonight’s recommendation is Come Home by R.J. Rhodes. It’s a sandbox with 3D art and a somewhat slow burning plot. The two elements I appreciated in it most were the rather diverse cast, and the fact that (as far as I could see) every romance is entirely optional. If (like me) you find the step-family stuff less palatable, the game is completely fine with letting you opt out of that and still has many other characters for you to pursue (there’s even a dude you can romance if that’s your thing). R.J. writes her characters well and the story so far holds up. So go check it out:

(full disclosure, R.J. reached out to me for cross promotion and may give Bell Master a shout out at some point. Either way, as you should know by now, I don’t recommend what I don’t play myself and actually like, regardless of promotions).

That’s it for this update. The next few weeks are likely to get a bit hectic as we sprint towards the release. So that’s bound to get rather exciting!

Have a great week!
