Dev Update 22/05/2020 (Patreon)

Update time!

I had to be a bit vague in the last update for reasons that will become apparent shortly. As you know, I value transparency highly and keeping you all in the loop is important to me (which is why these weekly updates are always public).
So, the good news first, Phoenix has given birth! It wasn't a straightforward delivery (hence the vagueness) but everything has settled now and mother and baby are safe and healthy.

Naturally, this means Phoenix is going to take a while to focus on the baby and will not be doing work for Body Language until July. Since art is my biggest expenditure, I'll be suspending the Patreon pledges for the month of June. 

I'll keep on working around the art Phoenix did make. The baby was eager and came around a bit earlier than expected, so some images needed for the tech demo were not completed in time. I'll use placeholder or sketch versions of images where I have them. These will of course be replaced when Phoenix returns to the project.

As you can guess, I had to do some scrambling this week to restructure the work plan. It's looking like I might be able to release a slightly reduced tech demo next weekend, or the weekend after that, depending on how productive next week turns out. I'll keep you updated as usual.

I've also been dragged kicking and screaming onto Twitter this week, not sure how active I'll be there, but I'm there if you're interested. Oh, and jump by the discord and let me know how you feel about text effects, your feedback is always welcome!
