After Story. Crab Hunting

"Alright, found them huh"

Right around when two hours had passed since leaving the Royal Capital's Guild. We reached the river flowing at the base of the mountain that we always use when we're talking about hunting Borazon Crab. 

Though there are also plenty of other monsters that seek the riverside in this vicinity, since the Borazon Crab is too hard, and it doesn't get attacked by other monsters either, you often find it relaxing. 

I'd pass right by them if it was under normal circumstances, but since those Borazon Crabs are the prey today, I carry on to close in until I'm close. 

"Well then, I guess I shall have Haku show me how much you improved"

The consultant says something like that to me when I draw the shortswords worn on both sides of my waist. Apparently, the consultant will be observing at the start. It's not like I mind, but it's kinda hard to get into it when I'm being watched. 

I ready the shortswords in both hands and lock onto a Borazon Crab that's on its own. The only soft part of the Borazon Crab, is the between-the-brow part between its eyes. That's the only part that's quite soft compared to the other parts of its shell. 

It's just that, the Borazon Crab brandishes both its pincers and blows foam over with no questions asked when you get close. That's why it's theory to weaken it with magic without getting too close originally, but I pour magic power into the shortswords in both hands. Black magic power clad the shortswords I held in a backhand grip all the way to their tip. 

And then, I rush over in one go. The Borazon Crab that noticed that I got close, swung its pincer down at me. It's quite quick for its large body. However, it doesn't land on me.

I slip smoothly under it before the large pincer swings down, and I get close to the Borazon Crab's body. If it's this distance, then it can't use its pincers anymore. Knowing that, the Borazon Crab makes 'gujuu gujuu' sound from its mouth and blows foam at me.

Although there's not much damage in eating the foam, it has the effect of obstructing movements. While writhing unmovingly, I'll get cut down or crushed by its pincers.

The moment the Borazon Crab spouted foam at me, I jumped up. I get on top of the Borazon Crab's shell. The Borazon Crab naturally loses sight of me who got on its back. I close in all the way to the between-the-brow in front and stab the shortsword in my right hand. 

The Borazon Crab struggles while spewing foams from its mouth. I stick my sword in deeply so that I don't get shaken off, and stab the shortsword in my left hand on top of that. And then, I slice it into halves in one go. 

With this, the Borazon Crab collapses. This makes one. This is possible because my speed is fast. If it was ordinary Adventurers, they'd surround and get close with multiple people. 

Besides, even if I say the between-the-brow part is soft, it's because it's my weapon. If it was an ordinary weapon, it'd bounce off.

Besides, it's a pain even after defeating the Borazon Crab. The request this time is the tomalley, so I have to rip its shell off and take it out from within from here on out. 

Although Ferris-nee would help me normally, she's not around today, so let's use magic.

"Shadow Arm"

Tons of black hands formed with the shadow from the ground come on out when I use my magic. I hold the shell up with the black hands. Holding the shell up with the shadow hands, I cut off the parts still sticking with my shortswords.

And then, when I cut enough to be able to take out the tomalley, I make the shadow hands open it and take out the tomalley. 

I take out a vessel to store the tomalley from my Item Pouch, which cost quite a bit, though it has a smaller capacity than the Item Ring Onii has.

When I put the tomalley into the vessel and fix my Item Pouch, I cut off its legs this time around. Since I cannot put the Borazon Crab in as it is with the Item Pouch I have, I have to dissect it. 

The consultant came on over around when I cut off all of its legs and finally managed to fix my Item Pouch.

"Ain't too shabby, aye, Haku. Insta-killing the Borazon Crab without any danger. It was quite skilful huh"

"......thanks, it's because I'm used to it"

I carry on to look for the next Borazon Crab. I put another 2 to 3 into the Item Pouch. Just as I was about to head to the next Borazon Crab, my head was pat tappingly. When I turned around, the consultant was looking at me with a kind smile. 

"Well well, leave those fellows to me. I'll dissect them right away"

The consultant says just that, and she unsheathes the great sword she carries on her back. And when she clads it with Wing Magic, she closes the distance on the Borazon Crab in an instant. 

She first sliced off its left pincer and carried on to slice off all the legs on half its body. 

The Borazon Crab collapses onto its left side as it is, and although it brandishes its remaining right pincer, all of its legs on its right got sliced off as well before it knew it. 

And then, she stabbed the greatsword into its between-the-brow and ended up defeating it before it spits its foam. As it is, she defeats a second one as well......there's too much of a gap in strength. Even though I took a great effort to defeat it, it was a piece of cake for the consultant. 

The consultant who came back humming, ruffles the head of the dumbfounded me. 

"Nothing to feel that down about. Haku and I, first, our weapons are different. Well done managing to defeat it with those weapons. As expected huh"

Uu, I'm bad with being praised. I say my thanks in a soft voice while turning away. I mutter it with the intention of it being inaudible, but it looks like it was audible to the consultant, and she pats my head tappingly with a smile. 

The two of us split up the work and dissect the Borazon Crab, and put it in the consultant's Item Ring after that. After that is the lunch break.

The consultant takes out food and drinks she'd bought beforehand from her Item Ring and gives them to me as well. Because my Item Pouch doesn't have time fixation like the Item Ring, I can only put in things that last for days. 

"So, what's on Haku's mind?"

After eating silently, the consultant asks me suddenly. I ended up getting surprised and jumped. I looked at the consultant's face and wondered what I should do, but she's someone who's lived decades longer than me. She might have some kind of a good answer for me. That's why
