Upload Notes: Beyond the Sea Chapter Two (Patreon)

Firstly, apologies for being late on these upload notes~ I'm sure some folks really enjoy this insight, but if nothing else, I think it's just fair to keep this up with as much of my writing as possible. I don't want any of my stories feeling jealous.

Beyond the Sea has been very exciting to write, haha. I'm sure I mentioned this before, but this project began waaaaay near the beginning of the patreon itself. Reviewing work that's so old is pretty strange! This was pretty much written exactly a year ago so I get this chance to really reflect on my writing and see where it's evolved. And boy has it evolved! So many little things, like typos or bumps in descriptions, got a chance to get fixed up -- mistakes I don't make as much nowadays.

I really enjoyed the cozy vibe with the tavern at the beginning, and how that falls apart so greatly over the course of the chapter. It's a constant ramp up where Moana finds herself in worse trouble every few minutes. Something about taverns and other homey little places, I love writing out these settings a lot regardless of the content. Just feels nice to be at a tavern late at night with a bunch of regular townsfolk, ya know~ Oh to be a simple fisherman enjoying tavern soup on a rainy night when a 100-foot Moana appears.

Hopefully the adventure is drawing you in~ Moana still has a long way to go but at least she's not alone anymore. Stay tuned for additional chapters, another one should be coming up relatively soon~ Thanks for the support everyone!
