Gummigoo woke up with a start— he had one hell of a dream. There was a chase, some big black void, clones, a clown… the reptilian gummy leapt to his feet, his mouth falling open. How'd he come to be out here, right in the open of the Dessert Desert?

"Crikey… What happened?" he muttered, then nearly leapt out of his skin— since when did he start wearing a vest? And… assless chaps? Where did all this come from? Something in his gut told him it was related to his dream. Hell, maybe the clown gave it to him.

"Boss!" Gummigoo whipped around, spotting Max and Chad running up to him. "There you are! We'd been wonderin' when you'd get back!"

"Fellas!" the alligator waved as his two best mates ran up to meet him. Max, short and round, Chad, long and thin were quick to embrace Gummigoo. 

"Watcha doin' all the way out here?" Chad asked.

"I, uh…" Gummigoo scratched the top of his head. "I'll be honest, boys, I don't know. I just sort of woke up out here."

"You're kidding— what happened with all those weird blokes, and that clown, Pomni?" 

Gummigoo stared at him with a start. "Pomni…?" It wasn't just a dream?

"Oh, well, neve mind that now, boss— we got big news!" Max exclaimed. "We got a chance to clear our names."

"What?" Gummigoo's brow arched.

"The Fudge is back! It's terrorizing the whole kingdom— the Princess said, if we can defeat it, we'll get our names cleared and as much maple syrup as we want." Max said.

The gator gasped widely as he thought of the possibilities— his name cleared, his mum saved? It was too good an opportunity to miss. "Well… fellas, we're going to be taking down the Fudge." He glanced at his two mates. A sudden thought struck him, almost like inspiration. He wasn't certain where the idea came from, but it was a damn good one. "But first, we're going to need to train up. No way we're getting the Fudge the way we are right now— but we're going to get stronger. A lot stronger."
