Patreon Round-Up May! (Patreon)
Content
Oh my gosh a lot is going on! I'm getting ready for a soft-relaunch of this Patreon in conjunction with the public launch of Shenzhen Fast! Ideally Concurrently with VanCAF? Basically this month I'm struggling with remembering how time works and which months follow each other so a lot of stuff is coinciding suddenly... but it's exciting!!!
Welcome 🎉George and thanks for upgrading your pledges, 🎉Holly, 🎉Miyaa, 🎉Jens and 🎉Daniel! Thanks to these collective efforts we're back over $400/mo cumulative! This unlocks the Hourly Comics Day Patreon-Exclusive bonus in September, so to celebrate I'm going to do a mini hourly comics day in the next month or two. Look for that poll next week!
But that's the future, what the heck went down around here LAST month...?
$2 Quality Testers
Career Zine pages continue apace, this month we had pages about Transferrable Skills and when it's time to move on...
$7 Lab Techs
This month I wrote about the process of working with an editor and brainstorming for the next revision of Good Bones.
I also posted some more inks for the 3D Printing Zine .
Also remember the Q2 Dropbox link! ^^ It's now up to date.
$25 Collaborators
This month I posted a vlog about learning how to woodwork and a little comic about tea.
(The $10/month preview of this tier will close at the end of this month! So if you're one of those patrons make sure to either join the $7/mo tier - which is closest to what that tier was - or upgrade to $25 to add quarterly mail drops :) )
Tradewaiters
I'm on a podcast where we talk about comic books! Hawkeye Part Deux is now up for your listening pleasure, and the next books will be Yotsuba& volumes 1 and 2 and Golden Age volume 2! Some good conversations in those episodes :)
Hey, Neat
I was blown away by this video about a guy trying to hunt down the origin of a meme. It went places I didn't expect and turned out to be a really touching story about the amazing ways the internet can bring us together.
I've also been enjoying Materwelonz's Let's Play of the new Stanley Parable edition (this is best viewed if you played the first game imo, but the deluxe edition looks really fun so I'm going to say it's worth it to new players to buy this one instead of the original which is still $16.99 (wow) :) )
JamIRL
It's Konan's four-month rascalversary and she slept on my LAP for the first time ever to celebrate. What a good bean...
In keeping with the recent theme of "it's spring and I should go outside maybe?" I went to the Chilliwack Tulip festival! Everyone was taking instagram photos of the beautiful tulips so of course after paying $20 to enter and driving an hour to get there I insisted on taking a picture with a patch of dandelions instead.
Also do any of you play Osu? I'm getting low-key into Osu lately...
