Another page of this comic! Injection Moulding is a really exciting process that is kinda frustrating for the illustrator because everything that is exciting about it happens inside a boring looking box. 

You take this big box and put a smaller stainless steel box inside it. But INSIDE the box are all these cavities and sprues and gates that control material flow... augh! Hopefully the diagram helps to make it clear. 

This site visit also had an interesting exchange that for political reasons I decided to cut. The person at the facility was like "So, what do you think of Trump's trade war??" (this was July 2018). I of course had to reply that I was Canadian but I thought it was a bit much ;) 

It's interesting that those who are in the thick of it just think of it as annoying friction in a large global business that might be impossible to stop. But of course nothing is fully impossible and though the wheel turns slowly, it may indeed turn...
