Simply tape a camera to a stick and sending the camera through the archway ....I can't decide whether or not McKay of all people coming up with this idea is either stupid or insanely smart .....Cause this is the kinda shit you and I would come up with and we are NOWHERE. NEAR. as smart as McKay 6. Sheppard... Mah dude... What the fuck were you thinking?? ...You just punched the portal and it clearly gave off enough kinetic energy to indicate you weren't gonna get through ....Sooooo... You decide to shoot a bullet at it!?!? ...Do you hear yourself.. Are you fucking stupid?? 7. Sooooo... McKay used a MALP on a stick before and stuck it through the archway for a solid 10 seconds with apparently was roughly 2 hours on the other side ....Now he stuck a bunch of flowers through for 20 seconds which is roughly 4 hours .....He pulls the flowers back out and they're wilted??? Flowers wilt THAT. fast in 4 hours??? .....UGH.. Keeping up with trynna keep flowers alive sounds like a dayjob that I'm most decidedly NOT. interested in 8. True... McKay just sent a bag full of food through the portal but SHOULD. have sent a note aswell ...added later... They've sent several more supplies through yet STILL. no note ...added later.. again... Aight Teyla actually thought to send a letter through ...Smart cookie ......Mmmmmmm... Cookies 9. And yeah McKay DEFINITELY. is stepping up this episode ...Showing a lot of leadership quality 10. Another re-used actor shows up by the way ....The guy that Sheppard saved from the "monster" is the same actor who back in the early days of SG-1 played a character who accused Teal'c of killing his father ...added later... Definite similarities can be drawn between this episode and the one where O'neill was stuck on a planet for a 100 days and thought he was left behind ....But compared to that one this one is pretty good due to the ascension stuff 12. The little girl that can heal people ...I recognise the actress ...She played young Lily (Daughter of Maleficent) on Once Upon A Time and also played the friend of Bill's daughter in 7x08 of The 100 (Bill being the religious nutjob and the daughter being the one who invented Trigdasleng) ....I know YOU probably didn't recognise her ...But I'm noting shit down so there you go ...added later... Oh ok you DID. recognise her and looked it up ...Bad job Detective 13. You're not wrong... The fact that Weir has gone through the portal is a bit odd as now there's no leader on Atlantis ....I mean... SURE. she can read Ancient ....But are you telling me SHE. is the ONLY. person on Atlantis who can read Ancient??? I press "F" to doubt 14. Beckett: "I have a date with Lieutenant Cadman planned for tomorrow night" ...Subtle little reference to the fact that Carson seems to be dating the woman that took over McKay's body in 2x04 ....Good on him ...I wonder if McKay is still seeing the woman he went on a date with ....Doubtful.. Considering he took Carson with him on the date as a third wheel 15. Nice little threat there Ascended Woman ...But an empty one at best ...Keep in mind that ascended beings (or at least the Ancients) are very high on non-interference ....Sooooo.... Teeeechnically... The Atlantis team COULD. come back to this place an hour later and pinch that ZPM ....Cause Ascended Woman wouldn't be able to do anything to stop the team unless it would mean violating their own laws 16. ALSO. speaking about violating the non-interference rule and also given what we've learned of The Ori.. The fact that worshipping them means they gain power .....We've seen an Ancient who has both violated this law AND is being worshipped ....Remember Chaya from Season 1?? ...The OTHER. woman that was in a sorta romantic relationship with Sheppard? .....She might aswell BEEN. an Ori 17. Yeah Sheppard should keep the beard ...It looks good on him.. But yeah for some reason having a beard on TV shows and in movies often means you're the bad guy or you're dirty or something stupid like that

This episode reminded me of the black hole episode early in the sg1 series where time moved faster in stargate command. Thats still probably one of my favorite episodes in the entire franchise so far.
