Another great episode, i really really enjoyed this one!

My understanding based off the dialogue provided, as a wraith feeds on a human a byproduct is a deterioration of the body that simulates the appearance of the natural deterioration of human aging. It doesn't actually make you older like if time had been sped up around you, you just physically get the same condition as aging without the actual aging Also, yes the glowing bug things are meant to be very similar to what was seen in the SG-1 episode Prodigy. Maybe they were a life form that the Ancients brought with them, maybe the Ancients scouted out the Pegasus galaxy long before moving Atlantis there for study, or another guess, since they attacked people in SG-1 & did some big damage really quick, maybe they're not life forms & some kind on mini machines meant as weapons that were another failed Ancient experiment. maybe one day we'll find out

These bugs are a bit different, as they seem interested in solid food, can be physically destroyed as we see the Wraith doing, and don't show any ability to phase through solid objects. Could be a relative, or something similar to whatever the SG-1 bugs evolved from.

I really liked this episode for getting to see how powerful the wraith can be and for showing how their ''feeding'' works. Some good funny moments but got really dark when that Dr shoots himself.

FOR SHANNAN: Skipped note(s) - (I said I would do it) 16. She's like "I'd hate to kill you so quickly" .....Well then fucking shoot her in the foot and work your way up from there! ....Just FYI... NOTHING. against Teyla.. I think she's great ...But the decision Sora made there was fucking stupid --- 1. Ok.. Why the FUCK. did it sound like you were slapping skin during the intro?? Are you not wearing any pants again Froots? (awkward enough for ya? ..evil smirk..) 2. You're very correct... We DID see these type of bugs before and you're right on your guess of which episode as well... It was SG-1 4x19 - "Prodigy" with Cadet Hailey ...I suppose these bugs weren't just indigenous to that one planet but appear to exist on other worlds too 3. So it appears this downed Wraith ship ISN'T one we've seen before.. They stated it was smaller than a Wraith Hive-Ship .....So just in case we're counting ...The Wraith have Hive-Ships (big) ...This supply ship (medium size) ...And Darts (one-man ships that go through the gate) ....We're slowly getting a sense of what kind of ships we're up against 4. Ok so they walked all the way over here from C-Section in the Green Car Park (you said that's where they parked.. Looked more like a desert to me but what do I know) ....They walked all the way over here cause Sheppard said the downed ship might have automated defenses ....I feel like they could've scanned for that using the Puddle Jumper ......Also they could've parked right next to the ship while cloaked (they've legit flown INTO a Hive-Ship before while cloaked in the Genii introduction episode and that one was operational) ....There really wasn't any legit reason to park so far away ...Cause it took them so long to get to the crashed Wraith ship they're only gonna have to pay more for parking when they get back to the Puddle Jumper 5. You're right Froots... That guy DID look like a discount Benedict Cumberbunch... And after he got fed on by that Wraith and looked older he kinda looked even more like Bendersnatch Crumblebunt 6. I feel like it SHOULDN'T have taken Weir several hours of zero communication before sending Ford in another Jumper to check up on Sheppard ....I would've sent a Jumper straight away just in case so that it would already have been underway ...Sheppard wouldn't have to wait... But like I said ...Just in case shit went wrong ...And oh look... Shit went wrong ...Ford got there JUST in time 7. Yeah Froots... Remember Colonel Sumner (T-1000) from the pilot episode.... The longer a Wraith feeds on you the more years they take... Whether it's ACTUAL years off your life OR it just LOOKS that way.. McKay said they DON'T know for sure... It's also stated it drains you of energy so IF in the very OFF-CHANCE a Wraith doesn't drain you completely... It'll take a few hours for you to gain some strength to do anything ....However whether or not you'd be restored to your youthful self?? ...I kinda doubt it given what we've been told/shown so far 8. McKay's vest probably has a mirror cause it might come standard with the gear inside the vest... It's not just bulletproof (...I mean... I think it's PROBABLY bulletproof) but it also comes with a lot of side-pockets for all kinds of stuff that could be helpful to survive ...Ammo clips.. Emergency food.. Some types of quick and easy medicine ...The mirror might be to look around a corner or it might be used to shave I dunno ....Lots of useful ways to use things I suppose 9. Why is the Wraith guy stuck there you ask?? Odd question.. But ok... His ship crashed and there's probably no Darts in working order for him to just fly out of there ...He's a Wraith.. So ofcourse he doesn't have the Ancient gene to fly a Jumper .......Aaaaaand that's why he's stuck there ...I feel like this was all pretty self-explanatory.. But you asked ..So there ya go Froots ...Ya dum dum 10. McKay called Sheppard "Captain Kirk" ....Pretty funny since Sheppard earlier in the episode told his team to "Remember where we parked" before cloaking the Jumper ...That's a reference to Star Trek The Voyage Home where Kirk said the same thing before cloaking a Klingon Bird Of Prey landed in the past in San Francisco ..I'm fairly certain that's the ONLY old Star Trek movie I've ever watched entirely cause I liked the concept of the movie 11. Yeah... The Wraith can regenerate pretty fucking quickly from a gunshot wound ...This was established in the pilot as well ...According to Beckett they'd be pretty hard to kill if they'd have recently fed... And this Wraith just so happened to have fed on 2 Red-Shirts ...Or well.. 1.5 Red-Shirts technically ...Having fed on the other Wraith didn't really contribute like you thought ...It was just the fact that he HAD fed recently ...Any Wraith COULD be this powerful if they're not running on empty
