Hands down one of my all time favorite episodes in the entire series.

Patrick - Excelsior

The staff blast cause carbon dioxide to build up in the area around where its fired. In an enclosed space with no life support cleaning the Carbon Dioxide out, the levels get too high. High Carbon Dioxide levels causes brain asphyxia, dizziness, blurred vision, fainting and eventual death. Yes, you are 100% correct. Only the Tau'ri, call it the Stargate.

To answer your question., pretty much as bad as the last time I answered. The housing market has become absolutely abysmal over here so I'm lucky if a new potential house goes up for sale once a month On a good note this week I got tickets to WrestleMania 40 & booked a hotel for the weekend which checks an item off my bucket list as I've always wanted to go to a WrestleMania so I have that weekend trip to look forward to as an early birthday present next year

Vala is one of my favorite cameos on this show... aided by the fact that another sci-fi show called Farscape where the actress that plays Vala was one of the co-leads of that show that was running at the time... well actually I think this other had recently ended like about a year previous to this episode airing. If I recall correctly... both Daniel and T'ealc made an appearance on Farscape. Not of course as Daniel and T'ealc, the 2 shows are not connected. I think both shows had a little fun with the actor crossover! So, when those of us that had watched Farscape saw Claudia Black show up here, it was a nice treat!

I adore little bits of realism for no plot reason. The hiccups in this were great. Oh and as everyday is the same to me I synchronize my Wednesdays with Stargate. So you can never be late in my eyes.

The Mad Titan

I was waiting the whole time for Vala to show her face, so I could see if you would recognize her. I loved her in the Originals also. She has experience in sci Fi too. She was in a show called farscape for a long time. I always enjoy this episode, it makes me laugh. If you go back and rewind you can see your face as you recognize her, also pretty funny.

I was going to save this story for when you started Stargate Universe but since you asked i watched this franchise completely backwards. I was scrolling through prime video and recognized an actor on SGU's poster so i gave it a try and next thing i knew i was finished with the series and wanted more Stargate in my life and i went with Atlantis over SG-1 because i thought it was a cooler name and then after i finally finished SG-1 i watched the original movie.

Daniel

Vala retains the knowledge of the Goa'uld who possessed her within her subconscious. This is how she managed to quickly take over much of the Prometheus as stated by Vala herself. This is most likely how she escaped. We saw her playing around with the wiring when Daniel left the ship.

The creators of the show have stated that they specifically wrote this episode as a comedy. The fight between Daniel and Vala was specifically meant to be funny, which is probably why it came across to you as "weird" because that is not how fight scenes are typically written. Claudia Black is a talented actress who can do both comedy and serious drama, as well as action, and I believe they wrote this episode entirely for her. Trying to do that would turn out badly for many shows, but they pulled it off.

I am finally caught up! Just in time for my favorite episode of the entire series! I just love ❤️ Claudia Black as Vala! There is so much heat between Vala and Daniel, they could melt ice! Their whole interaction was sexy while also being hilarious! Vala is hands down my favorite character cameo in all of Stargate SG-1! Wonderful reaction as usual Shan!

The Vala and Daniel stuff was fun but I really liked seeing Hammond back and not just back to command other people but to get the job done him self not wanting to put others at risk. This is why I always loved his character cause he's a badass but still just a big Texas teddy bear. The highlight of this episode has to be the big smile on Walters face when he's blowing up those death gliders. That's why Hammond brought him alone cause he knew all those years of Walter playing space invaders on night shift would come in useful. Also I just know the next time Teal'c walks past Walter he's going to hive him a little smile and a fist bump.

FOR SHANNAN: 1. Someone in the comments mentioned NCIS when it came to writers being clueless about computers ...And you said you wanted to know more .....Well Froots ...As you might remember my dad watched the shit outta that show and I picked up on this .....So.. Here's your example of something that ACTUALLY happened on NCIS ....Someone on the NCIS team is hacking into something... But she needs to be fast about it ....She's having trouble trynna keep up ....So guess what happens next ......Her co-worker helps her out with hacking by using... THE. SAME. FUCKING. KEYBOARD.!!!11!One!! .....Yeah that's right... That's definitely how you hack twice as fast on the same computer ......Keep in mind this was on NCIS.. A show that is all about the US's Naval Criminal Investigation Service ....They DEFINITELY DON'T have people advising them like we have on Stargate 2. Hammond must be losing his damn mind taking Walter with him onboard Prometheus ....There are no chevrons to dial onboard that ship 3. Y'know what... I never realised how large Prometheus was until I just counted the buttons in the elevator Daniel and Novak are in ...There's at least 28 levels on this ship ...It's GHUGE 4. Kinda odd they're using the rings to get onboard the Al'kesh considering it's been mentioned several times that the Prometheus is now equipped with Asgard beaming technology ....Like... What takes longer before you can survey your immediate surroundings? Waiting until those transporter rings finish transporting you aboard or waiting until you've beamed in using an Asgard transporter?? ....The obvious answer is you'd take anyone by surprise if all of a sudden you'd just be standing there ...Yet they use the rings instead 5. Yeeeeaahh... I remembered this actress showing up in this episode when I originally (no pun intended) watched The Originals (I looked it up.. Her name was Dahlia) ....I was wondering if you'd recognise her.. Her name is Claudia Black.. She was on Farscape which is why a lot of nerds got excited ...I suppose it's kinda like the equivalent of a "Oooh it's a person from Star Trek" cameo kinda thing 6. Hammond gets ringed back unconscious.... Novak: "He may need mouth-to-mouth" ...If this were me: "Welp... RIP Hammond" 7. I meeeeaaaann... I can't blame Daniel... SHE hit him first ...I'm all onboard with never hitting a woman... But if a woman hits you first... You've got every right to knock her on her ass ......Aaaaaand now it's turned into a hair-grabbing fight... This is an odd fighting technique you got there Daniel ...What have they been teaching you at the SGC? 8. Fruit Cake.. Froot Loop.. Tomato Tomato... This woman is crazy ...I kinda like her 9. Good catch Froots... Dahlia called it a stargate ...That's something only WE do.. Everyone else calls the gate the Chapa'ai or Ring Of The Gods or some shit like that... I suppose it's a fuckup on the part of the writers OR. she was seen studying a monitor early on in the episode PLUS she appears to be smart enough to quickly learn how to reprogram the Prometheus's systems ...One COULD assume she read up on a bit of history on who the ship belongs to and one of the things she read about mentioned the word "stargate" ......But realistically... It's probably a fuckup on the writers part 10. This whole confrontation Hans OIo is having with 2 aliens and the naquadah bars... It kinda makes me think of ARK and how we're dealing with 2 people in possession of stuff that we could eaaaasssiily pinch ....You: "I'd take a couple of those bars... Why not?" HA! Never change Froots.. Never change! 11. Aaaaaand the way she stood there with the weirdest smile on her face when Daniel opened the door .....Reminds me of a certain person making goofy faces when she's feeling awkward on camera 12. I didn't think it was that shocking to find out she escaped... Considering she showed to be very resourceful before.. It was probably not that difficult for her to find a way out ...What WAS weird though is that she didn't escape the cell when Daniel held her captive.. And IF she did already sabotage her cell before when she got captured by Daniel.. How come nobody checked to see if it was secure to put her in there again and not put her somewhere else instead?? Odd writing choice but they had to wrap it up I suppose 13. The hiccups was probably just a funny little quirk about this Novak character... It was done to add a bit of extra to the episode I suppose ...Not that the episode really needed it cause I feel like Daniel and Dahlia were quite good together ...I would have loved to have seen more

The name's Olo, Hans Olo. I loved that line so much. I've been using this name in games, ever since I first saw this episode.
