Patrick - Excelsior

I think you're right Shan. I think the writers are purposely leaving guns out of the storylines for the innocents in the show. Most likely to keep the dangerous aspect of the Vesen present. A coyote person doesn't feel so dangerous when confronting someone with a loaded shotgun. I didn't mind the mind the monster of the week so much here. For one it was very short, all told I don't think it used more than 8 minutes of the episode. Second, I felt bad for the doctor. He is someone that made a career out of helping people, volunteered to go to a poor country to help people there for no pay, gets sick and ends up hurting people he knows. cares about and loves. In the end he sacrifices himself to save the woman he loves. That's rough. You were so upset when they mentioned the doggie died but when you saw the poor fox hung up dead you were ok ... poor fox 🦊 . Yeah, cops sitting outside house to guard are notoriously ineffective in movies and TV shows. In this case I couldn't tell if that was the cop in the mask or if they killed the cop and took his place in car. Holy Crap! Juliette just vogued! Into a hexenbiest! WTH! That would have to be terrifying. Especially since I don't think she has even she one before, so may not know that's what it is. For all she knows her face is ... decaying... 👹

Wu is the perfect example of why you tell characters the truth instead of trying to protect them by lying to them. He would have been better mentally and safer with all the information. Plus, he could have helped out on all the previous investigations. Now, he seems to be in real trouble and almost shot someone. Why let him wander around in a dangerous world with Wesen that he has to interact with and not arm him with the truth? It makes no sense. Also most hollywood writers hate giving characters guns because politically most are against guns. Also in writing, guns are too powerful a tool to solve problems making them almost a deux ex machina or so most writers believe. That is why they don't always show up when they probably would in the real world. And Juliet is now a hexenbiest?!? So much for being a background character. I think those days might be over At least she has Rosalie to help her. I love their friendship and there were some really sweet moments in this episode. Too bad Nick and Juliet jinxed their honeymoon.
