2023-01-30 20:26:23 1. They most deciiiiiidedly rushed things in Season 1 ...You don't become besties overnight.. That takes time ...These guys basically might as well moved in together ...The way their friendships were set up just came of very unrealistic ...They accidentally met while one of them was driving an über and Sophie accidentally swapped phones (I very recently edited the pilot can you tell?) and that's how they all got together?? C'mon son... The realistic thing there would be they'd swap their phones back and would never see eachother again ....But I suppose they couldn't have the same backstory as for instance Marshall, Lily and Ted where they knew eachother for waaaaaay longer cause then it'd be too much of a rehash 2. I'm fairly certain with "Josh" in my notes I meant Josh Peck from Drake & Josh ...Judging by the notes his mum guilt tripped Sophie into not breaking up with Josh cause she had some bad news to deliver and didn't want her son to feel bad already ...I think 3. It's a good thing they had a "Previous Leon" before the episode started... Got a chance to see all these scenes from Season 1 of which I think I only remember 1 (the one from the pilot where they're in the car) ....I don't remember this show 4. So the son has been in the call for 10 months?!? ...Naw but seriously... Given he's saying he's gonna hang up if Old Sophie doesn't come back I'm assuming she's telling the ENTIRE. story of how she met his father all in ONE. call??? Are phone calls free in the future? 5. Aight... So she got kissed by her friend (who she met 10 days ago) then broke up with her boyfriend who'm she also basically met in that time span I think (Oh that reminds me then.. Dude took her to meet his mum in that same time frame ...Less than 10 days and she's meeting his mum?) Anyhoos.. She slept with her friend.. Heard him say I love you in his sleep.. And then he cheated on her?? ...ALL. in 48 hours?!!?!? ...This is NOT. the example that should be given to young viewers regarding healthy relationships ...If you want a healthy relationship.. Do the EXACT. opposite of what the people on this show do 6. That fake tan HAS. to be on purpose... No way anyone would get a tan like that and go outside unless they're in a humourless comedy show 7. Ok I know how editing works ...There's absolutely NO. FUCKING. WAY. that their sex tape accidentally ended up rendered into a newly-weds montage video ....Another swing and a miss from the writers to try and make a funny ....And yeah they're not even turning off the TV ....At this point you might as well assume the whole bar is full of perverts who are into watching the whole tape 8. Ooookeeeyyy... The only good part of the whole episode was seeing Barney ...As I said in voice.. I knew there was going to be a cameo.. I didn't know who it was going to be but I had a pretty good hunch it was going to be him ..Dunno why but I feel the other actors (aside from Robin ofcourse) aren't of the surprise cameo variety 9. The bad part about doing the future thing (which in my mind is the setting up of the Barney cameo .. I don't care about the Sophie dating an older guy storyline) ...You know daaaaaaamn well they'll have Barney show up in the finale episode (episode 20) just to have people tune in the entire season waiting for him to show ....Classic marketing trick to get people to tune in 10. Sadly... The episode got zero laughs out of me.. Not even a smile ...Even though the Barney bit was good.. I saw it coming ...I'm more annoyed by it now that we need to wait until we get to see where that goes (cause refer back to note 9.) It'll probably not happen until very late in the season and at that point we'll have expectations set which the show won't meet up with
