Pretty major lore episode. The Ancients have been mentioned before as the creators of the Stargates, and the Asgard mentioned them as one of the members of the alliance of four races, but what they looked like or what happened to them, or really anything at all about them, hasn't really be mentioned until now.

You know, we are 6 seasons into the show and although we've learnt about various races such as the Asgard, the Nox and the Goa'ulds, the Ancients, up until now, are still a big question mark. Sure, we've learnt about various other civilisations throughout the galaxy, even some very advanced ones, such as the Tollans. However, it's important to remember that, technically, these have all just been humans who descend from Earth and who were spread throughout the galaxy by the Goa'ulds to be used as hosts and slaves. So they were never different races like the Asgard and the Goa'ulds are. You would think we would know something more about the actual race that built the Stargate Network at this point in the show. Still, this episode may have revealed some things about the Ancients, if the woman indeed was one, such as the discovery that they look like humans and since the Ancients predate modern day humans such as you and I, the question is not why do they look like us but rather, why do we look like them? Unfortunately, this is the reason she died, so that the team and the audience would not get the answers to the many questions this episode introduced. The mystery continues.

1. Need For Speed Glider: Death: Death Glider 3??? ...Ok it's official.. You don't get to name games anymore Froots.. That was horrible 😛 2. The fake intro popping up... This was a suggestion by Handy just before you started Season 6.. I ofcourse never pass up an opportunity to mess with you so I immediately re-edited the official episode and put the lame Ra Statue intro back in 3. Admittedly... The music in the intro is a bit more epic than the stuff going on on-screen.. It needs more action shots but this is what we're getting ...To be continued 4. Ok so sue me... There's a difference between "descent" and "decent" ...One is the episode title and the other is a word you often use to describe an episode ....In case you didn't know... Not English (points to self) 5. Yeah Jonas is being a little hard on himself... There's not much he could've done to prevent the ship crashing either I bet... Besides that would've left Teal'c alone on the Tel'tak cargo ship ...Slightly less chance he'd have been able to survive against those ninjas perhaps 6. You.. Seeing water rise: "Oh my god that shit is going down like the Titanic" ....Yeah they skipped right past the drawing scene and straight towards the ending .....Let's hope Sam isn't as selfish as Rose and DOES leave room for O'neill 7. Perhaps it's worth noting again for everyone that sits through the comment reading section of the episode that when you mention a ZPM.. You know of it's existence from playing modded ARK ...Hopefully nobody tries to spoil you on WHEN they show up ...I'll be on the look-out just in case someone does try though .....Also... You telling them to power a DHD with a ZPM is kind of hilarious ....It's like powering a TV remote with a 1000 nuclear reactors (and that's underselling it) 8. Y'know what I noticed in these first 4 episodes ....There's no Rawr Rawrs any more ...Big sad for the YouTube community who went nuts over them ....Also big sad if they don't come back cause we'll have missed the opportunity to put Smudge or Willow in the edit ...Although perhaps the movies might still have them.. But that's gonna take a while before we get to those 9. Sadly this was aired long before Frozen ever was a thing... But could you imagine?! SG-1 breaking out in song.. Sam singing Let It Go... Teal'c ofcourse singing Do You Wanna Build A Snowman ....Why Teal'c? Cause I think it'd be funny 10. Sooooo.. Aiyana has been frozen under the ice of Antarctica for several million years .....She's looking pretty good for her age ...I'm normally not into women older than me... But... Hi 😍 11. You're suggesting for everyone to be wearing masks... But there's no use.. They've all either already been in close proximity to Aiyana or someone who has been in close proximity... The damage is already done ...Besides... Aiyana was apparently dying of a plague ...And she's supposedly an Ancient according to Dr Frasier and Sam ...I very much doubt a mask would be of any help to an unevolved human like us 12. But turns out Aiyana was a good person all along... A bit out of her time perhaps.. Sadly she died.. She could've been a great source of information on the Ancients 14. Normally O'neill would be the high ranking officer and would give commands... BUT... In some cases a doctor can outrank even the highest of ranked officers if they are sure of it that it is in the best interest for their health ...Hence why Janet is able to order them to get some rest 15. When the person you care about (more than you're supposed to) asks you to blend with a Tok'ra and says "Please" ...O'neill is the type of guy who will set aside his distrust and say yes .....He really cares for Sam LATEST RUMOUR (added 13-12-2022): There's been talk behind the scenes at Amazon.. Apparently over the past few months they've been asking around for certain companies to pitch new Stargate to them.. People behind The Boys and The Expanse have pitched their ideas and have apparently even drafted some really early scripts and art work.. The rumour is that the person behind The Expanse might have come out on top and we might be getting an official announcement soon. Before or around the 15th of January 2023 as this apparently is when Amazon will talk more about it's new streaming service MGM+. Ofcourse for us this is still going to take a while before we get to the end of the current verse.. But it looks like we might be adding some more stuff to the current line-up as it was said Amazon is big on wanting continuity

Wearing masks would be a good idea if it wasn't already too late. The first people to get sick were the people who got her out of the ice and then tested her blood. That's when they got infected, meaning the others most likely got infected by them as well, before they even went near Ayiana. So you might have heard that a few weeks ago that scientists have revived a number of "ancient zombie viruses" previously trapped in the Siberian permafrost for about 50 000 years?! So a permafrost is a permanently frozen layer (of materials which depends on its location). Scientists have been trying to warn people for years that if global warming kept going at this rate, the permafrost would melt and release previously trapped greenhouse gases which ofc would only fuck our planet even further. Guess what? It's now melting. And those scientists are no longer just worried about the gases (tho it's still a danger and a concern) cause they found a number of viruses trapped dormant in the ice but thanks to their research of the melting permafrost they managed to revive AND contain (important word here) over a dozen viruses (13 I think?). They're only called zombie cause they've been revived but ofc people see it in the media and ofc thinks it's a like "Walking Dead virus", so ofc they make joke and are not taking it seriously. Like I said, those are contained but they are so old that our bodies have no way of protecting ourselves cause it's completely unknown. So we most likely wouldn't even recognize the symptoms early enough or at all or have any diagnostic tests. The best thing about this whole situation ? The permafrost is still melting and there could be most shit in there that'll fuck us over but might not be caught on time by scientists :D Yay ?! Anyway, just to say that Ayiana's virus is a similar situation. Unknown ancient (this time literally lol) virus that is completely unknown to our immune system. Yeah, I love the show but the number of times that it happened is really frustrating. Everytime they get a new technology or an advantage, they soon lose it. It's done has to not make them too powerful too fast but god it's frustrating. Ayiana joining the cast even for a few episodes and learning from her would've been cool but since she's an Ancient, she has a lot of knowledge that would make the sgc way too op. They are the gatebuilders after all. Fun fact : - After Ayiana wakes up, she makes some noises despite it being impossible cause she's intubated and the tube goes between the vocal cords and holds them open so they can't move. - Jonas says that the Giza Stargate was buried 2000 years ago but it's actually 5000 years ago. - Kanan wouldn't need to die if Jack didn't say yes, since they could just put him in a tank like they did for Lantash (Martouf's symbiote). So... I call bullshit, the Tok'ra are bullshit !! - Also, I forgot to mention this before but every once in a while, a pineapple will appear in the background (this time it's at the beginning of the episode is all I'll say). It's a running gag for many episodes when Will Waring is directing. Same for other directors, Peter DeLuise cameoed in all of his episodes, and Martin Wood has Siler carry a large wrench (which I think gets larger with each season lol)
