Yeah, it would take a bit more than this to get Nick to shoot Monroe. Especially in the case where the chef was killing innocent victims. Of course it doesn't help when a supposedly dead Monroe sticks his head up and gives dire warnings. I like how they haven't glossed over the effects of the Baron's poison and its effects on Nick as well as his emotions over having killed an innocent man. I also like how they show that while they are working with Capt. Renard there is still some tension there between Renard and Nick.

Pretty sure that first guy in the tree was a reenactment of me the morning after a late night run to Taco Bell eating a dozen tacos

I am probably posting this too late for the next reactions, but either way, this is my chance to give this particular theory of mine, now that you have all the necessarily evidence. It is my theory that a Grimm's real power is the ability to permanently adapt to the abilities of hostile Wessen used against them. At the beginning of the show, He was easily thrown around by super strong Wessen. AT this point, he can stand toe to to with them. When blinded by the fly, he gains super hearing. When put into a death-like state, his body metabolism adapts to function in that state. It's just a theory of mine which I haven't seen anywhere else, but it makes perfect sense to me. Grimms can adapt to anything the Wessen throw at them given time and continually get stronger, as we see from Nick's much older, but even faster and stronger mother.
