If i remember correctly landline phones do not need power to run. They run through the wires.

I actually really like this episode, its always fun when they experiment and i liked getting an episode focused on astra.

Fun Fact: They actually hired 90s disney animators that have retired for the animation segments. Heres what an article said. (Klemmer revealed that the episode wasn’t initially animated, but “there’s a point in the story where it becomes so outlandish that I was really having a difficult time seeing it in my head as live-action.” […] I was like, ‘Guys, this feels like a ’90s Disney movie.’ It was sort of a joke. ‘What if we hired a bunch of Disney animators from the ’90s who have all retired and did a ’90s feature thing?’)

I don't think they could do the animation for the most of the episode since it's expensive to animated a whole series or movie And love how this experiment with wacky ideas and know how to pull it off During season 2 they finally got their groove and I love this show Which pissed me off because the CW or DC was stupid to cancel this show But I'm really glad you are enjoying the show since most people stopped after season 4

fun fact, the wynnona earp shout out is an in-joke because around the time this originally aired, Wynonna Earp had just finished airing their fourth and final season and in one of those episodes, one of the characters mentions that the way she wants to die is with her girlfriend in Sara Lance cosplay. So this show referencing WE is playful payback. I miss Wynonna Earp, gone too soon.

Also you might recognize Bishop from TVD, he played the head Traveler, Markos, in s5. He's also married to Tala Ashe (Zari).

Kayla and Gary only make sense when you realize that on Gary's planet, the women kill the men after marriage. So Gary did not luck out. Poor guy.
