You were right the first time, Stephanie Brown was a Robin (well first she was called Spoiler because she spoilt her father's crimes) and even dated Tim Drake. Then she stole a Robin costume, and broke into the Batcave and demanded Batman train her as a Robin and he said yes and the rest is history. Apart from the fact Black Mask killed her...well, actually she was badly injured by Black Mask but was found and then died in clinic belonging to longtime Batman confidante Leslie Thompkins. Oh and she would have been saved but the good doctor let her die to teach Batman about responsibility or some shit. Except DC comics had done did a doodoo, you see, Stephanie had been created only as a plot device to fool the readers into thinking she would become a full time Robin and that they always intended to kill her off right away. But whoopsies...she had become too popular so they had to bring her back and say that her death had been faked. That was when they rebooted everything in New 52. I think. And then she became Batgirl...and then Spoiler again....or was that the other way around. TLDR Stephanie Brown has been Spoiler, Robin, Spoiler again, then Batgirl. In fact she's Batgirl now. And so is Cassandra Cain. There's like 3 of them at the moment.

She was Spoiler for a hot minute after coming back from the dead. Then she was Batgirl. Then the reboot made her Spoiler again and erased her history as Batgirl and Robin. Then a couple years ago, Steph’s history as a Batgirl and Robin was restored and now she”s headlining a Robins miniseries and a Batgirls ongoing. So proud of my girl.

I'm not sure of the logistics surrounding the choreography during season 2, but I really enjoyed the improvement of the fight scenes from this episode compared to the earlier season 2 Batwoman fight scenes.
