So I'm sure you know by now. But Ruby rose decided to leave Batwoman for multiple reasons. from what I read in the interviews she has done she said. 1) She was getting super depressed by everyone hating on her acting skills and saying she is the worst person to pick to play Batwomen. 2) She said the work enviroment wasn't safe physically and mentally. She broke her BACK doing a stunt and she had to have surgery and she was supposed to be out for months but the director or someone said if your not back sooner ur fired so she went back to work 10 days after BACK surgery! like wtf its badass but she shouldn't have had to have that pressure put on her and threatened her job! and that's why in some of the fighting scenes she seemed stiff because she couldn't move as good from the pain. 3) she got a lot of shit also for having Batwoman being gay which i think is awesome but of course there ae a lot of horrible people out there. Overall i think she decided to leave to let her back heal properly and to get some mental health relaxation too from all the stress. but i love Ryan wild! and i think you will too!

Ruby Rose left the show after season 1 and the show decided they need a new character to fill in the batsuit so comes in Ryan Wilder they didn't want to recast Kate Kane so they got a new character I love Ryan trust me you will too in the coming episodes

Ruby accused a lot of people of a lot of sh1t, but like nobody from the cast or the crew supported her claims, and the after she publicly bashed the show the studio released a statement basically saying that it's not that she left the show, but the studio chose not to bring her back and terminate her cotract, because of her behaviour and because she wasn't any good.....not litteraly that, but kinda meaning that. Also, I read, that injury that she had, was reportedly on a different movie set, but she lied that she got hurt on a Batwoman set, to get the insurance money or something like that. And she had a ridiculously low amount of shoot time in her contract or something, so the shooting schedule suffered because she didn't wanna work the same as all the other regulars and a lot of scenes in the costume are her stuntwoman, during the Crisis crossover final battle, I'm pretty sure you can't ever see Ruby's face, because she wasn't present. I don't know how much of this is true, but of all the things that I read, nothing puts Ruby in a good light, so I'm kinda glad she's gone. They should've cast a better actor from the begining anyway.....sorry not sorry)))

Javicia Leslie is a much better actress, so I think you'll like her. She also has done martial arts training for most of her adult life, so that opens up what they can do with fight scenes. They still use a stunt double for the more action filled parts, but it helps them not have to do sharp cuts in filming.

I'm not sure we'll ever know the true story behind Ruby leaving / being fired. She claims she left for a bunch of reasons that paint the producers in a bad light. They claim they didn't want her back because she was difficult to work with. Many of the actors on the show, and those who are no longer with the show, have supported the showrunners. It's obvious neither side was happy with the other and a change needed to be made.

It's definitely odd to have the lead actor leave in between seasons and have no real story explanation. Like her plane went down but there's no body. Is she dead? Did she just say f this Batwoman BS and disappear? I guess we'll never really know. But it's not like replacing Grant Gustin, Stephen Amell or Melissa Benoist. I'm sure the show will carry on just fine.

It happens. Most give enough notice to where they can at least film an exit.

For some reason I never knew you were doing Batwoman as well.... will have to check these out when I get caught up on iZombie & Person Of Interest. Its a rare show for me where I have found each season gets better than the 1 previous.

This THE Canadagraphs? Probably not right?

It still boggles my mind that they chose to create an entirely new character instead of just recast and move on. I understand maybe if she was introduced as the lead from the beginning of the series or if she took over for Kate after working with her through season one. But now we’re stuck with a lead we know nothing about in a world that with side characters we know quite a bit about. I believe they said out of respect for Ruby they didn’t want to recast but idk All I can say is “It’s a bold strategy Cotton, let’s see if it pays off for them” (It’s a Dodgeball reference)

I'm not aware that theres another one, so probably the one you think it is.

Well, to re-cast Kate they would have had to find a new actress who may or may not fit in well with the new cast. Berlanti wasn't worried about Javicia fitting in because she came straight from another show (God Friended Me) that Berlanti was an Executive Producer on. So, with picking Javicia, he knew he had an actress that everyone would get along with, an actress who will happily work the long hours needed from a main cast member in an Arrowverse show, and most importantly they got an actress who is good at her job, can perform a majority of her stunts, and.....and....this is the big one. she's a gay actress. This show was promoted as being the first superhero show with a gay main character.
