You already know how Goa'uld mate. It was in the Hathor episode. A queen goa'uld possessing a woman of the intended host species sleeps with a male member of that species and births a bunch of creepy baby snakes.

The first 5 seasons of the show were on Showtime with the rest of it being on the Sci Fi channel which is why Jack makes that joke about asking if the giant ball can pick up Showtime. Happy to hear you enjoyed the first season. I feel the first few episodes are little rough mostly due to Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner not quite being sure if they wanted the tone of the show to basically be a continuation of the movie or something else.

So...I got curious and decided to check the last 3 weekly polls and was surprised that Stargate was #1 the past 2 weeks ....using just 1 of the 2 episodes...and way ahead in #1 if you combine both episodes. But 3 weeks ago it was a distant 5th or something like that...due to that week being the Arrowverse crossover event Crisis... which got more votes than I have EVER seen here :)
