Well I loved it! Could be because I’m British and always wanted something different from my superhero genre or the sense of humour or the heart and emotion that came from this show and the extraordinary situations these ordinary people found themselves in. Great characters great storytelling big fan, thank you Shan, hey that rhymes ☺️ 👍🏽

Loved this show when it was on, but even back then I didn't like the decision to give Alisha that "power". It was a period when shows were really trying to be as dark and edgy as possible I feel like, and I get what they were going for in terms of making literal her attepmts to use her sexuality to her advantage. And they do some interesting explorations of it and her, but if you want to tell that story you really need to know what you're doing and the gender/racial dynamics at play and handle it extremely delicately. This just comes off as cruel and unnecessary, giving the other 3(that we know of at this point) powers that while they can be potentially hard to live with are ultimately extremely strong, and then giving her that. I think there are so many better ways they could have made the same analogy using a less disturbing power. Something like Allison's Rumor power on Umbrella Academy, centered around using seduction to control people instead of just completely stripping the character of power, as if to punish her for her sexuality.

I also don't love leaning into the 'angry black man' stereotype with the probation officer's power. Came off as just lazy to me. All that being said, I do still love the show, and think it has a lot of unique takes on the genre that are pretty fun. The acting is also pretty fantastic with this cast, especially from robert sheehan (nathan) and lauren socha's (kelly) performances. Nobody can play lovable asshole as well as robert sheehan
