Yeah, I wasn't sure quite how you would feel about this one and normally too, I shy away from procedurals but what sold me on this was Tim Roth. He's just such a good actor. I don't know about Psych but the science on this show is more or less accurate, which makes it interesting too. It was one of those shows that I watched until the end, like iZombie. I guess you never know what's going to hit. But it didn't seem like you had a terrible time watching this one.

This show was based on the work of psychologist Paul Ekman. A lot in season one was legit science. Figuring out if someone is lying by studying micro expressions takes a lot more work though. It’s not something you can do instantly like on the show but that wouldn’t make for a good tv show.

As far as micro tells of the human body, they are referring to the most common body language most people have. When you talked about how you act surprised for longer than a second, he was talking about how most are supposed to react instinctively so they're not taking into account of those that are slow (your words not mine). People with Autism or Asperger for example are an exception because they are not the majority, so our tells can also vary depending on the individual as well. Just wanted to let you know since you kind of missed what the kid was saying, you said "they're not unclean" and you didn't hear him say "and I touched myself". He felt horrible that he was aroused and touched himself to a dead body, that's all. If it was necrophilia he would still be in jail. It's best not to jump to conclusions when you do not acknowledge or take in everything that was said or expressed on screen otherwise it's a defamation of character. So don't worry, he's a good kid. I'm surprised you're watching this show, that's awesome.
