Now contrary to the brief candle episode, in this one they really don't handle Daniel being sexually assaulted at all. He straight up even tried to stop her. But aside from that I do like how old-school pulpy this episode is. And they show us that goa'uld aren't all the same. Hathor has a more subtle approach and it worked so well she almost took over the SGC. On top of that it's nice to see Sam take charge so quickly and Dr Fraiser playing a bigger role. The General said he's putting them up for commendation, basically a medal or official praise.

Yeah, there are plot holes here that I think we are just supposed to ignore. Like the fact that Hathor should know Teal'c would be immune to her pheromone. Or the fact that they receive a sarcophagus with the symbol of Hathor and 10 minutes later, a woman claiming to be Hathor shows up and nobody questions it. Nobody are even questioning that she could be a Goa'uld the second they see her, despite knowing that the sarcophagus can heal and bring back the dead or like with Ra, give you a long life. Daniel un-cuffing her is OOC to me, he should've been the first to suspect but even then, Jack and Hammond wouldn't have been okay with it. The ew comment by Jack is the only thing you'll get as an acknowledgement of the situation with Daniel and Hathor and even then it feels more like a "Ew, you slept with a Goa'uld" then anything else. Nobody would react like this if their friend was just raped. Anyway, I personally HEAVILY dislike this episode despite the good (and badass) moments.

There is a great fanfic crossover with Buffy/SG1 where Buffy ran away to Colorado instead of Los Angeles, and joins the Air Force. This is from one of my favorite scenes from that story: “I am in command of this facility, Captain Carter,” Hammond barked, face beet red, “not Colonel O’Neill. Is that understood?” Sam opened her mouth to reply. Buffy squeezed her shoulder in warning. “We understand, sir,” Buffy demurred, gritting her teeth. O’Neill made no move to step in. Hammond glared at them a moment longer before turning to Hathor and smiling. “If you’ll follow me, I would be honored to give you a tour of our facility.” Hathor smiled in return, but cut a cold glance to Buffy and Sam before letting Hammond, O’Neill, and Daniel lead her away for a tour.
