I don't think you can drop the "got engaged to sociopath" thing in a casual conversation lol Personally, I kinda like how you get small infos on them bits at a time. It feels more natural, people don't just seat down on talk in length about their lives with their coworkers. They do go on other missions in between episodes, we unfortunately don't really get to see them. Mostly because nothing really happens during those. Except that time Sam took her shirt off apparently lol Also fun fact, the egg mask are actually inspired by real ancient cultures with almost identical masks, and some not so ancient like the Asaro tribe of Papua New Guinea (tho more vague) if you want to look it up. There's also the in-universe possible explanation that it's too protect them from the sun.

I like the idea of a rogue SG team. Daniel mentioned it's not uncommon for them to be treated as gods, makes sense that someone would let that go to their head. Damn that guy was crazy though. The issue with the sun being dangerous (and sounded like it was it was tidally locked) was very interesting too. Long term I'd think a species would evolve to adapt, but living in caves 24/7 was a neat approach. I also liked how the shield worked, needing 2 of them to create a loop. Enjoyed this one alot.
