This is why they brought kid William back just to get rid of him again. Even with William away at boarding school he was still under Oliver & Felicity's guardianship. Bringing him back to then put him under his grandparents' guardianship further cuts him off from Oliver & Felicity. Communication goes both ways. Even IF Oliver had not tried to get in touch with William, William could have called Oliver. Young William was just being stubborn like "if they won't call me, I won't call them". It was most likely the grandparents blocking communication between Oliver & William. Now this is just conjecture, but reasonable conjecture.

I'm pretty sure "Dante" is said 36 times in this episode. I like seeing Felicity and Laurel working together.

I don't know if you recognized Dante (Adrian Paul), but he was the HIGHLANDER for 6 seasons. You watched the pilot a long time ago. I was very exited to see him again.

David Brown

Having been the Highlander, and even before he was, he has long been a skilled martial artist and swordsman. That, and his fame from Highlander, may have been why they wanted him for the role of Dante. He was also in an episode of original Charmed. He tried to help the soul of the woman he loved take over Phoebe's body.

I like your idea, Shan. Mia actually being Oliver and Laurel's kid sounds like a more fun and compelling story. Also would have been interesting to see how THAT happened, considering he doesn't trust her. But hey... there have been worse rushed plotlines. Then again, Felicity and Laurel became besties so that would have led to some really awkward textbook love-triangly melodrama. But it's not like the CW has EVER done stuff like that, amirite?

I also can't help but mentally roll my eyes every time the word "badass" is used to describe a character at this point in my movie/tv watching career. It's just such an obvious tactic by writers to state to the audience that a character is "empowered" and "empowering".

Funny how the main love interests of Arrow and Flash have daughters now and they both have mommy issues.

It's honestly nothing special these guys knowing how to fight, Dante could have learnt as a kid, Diaz grew up in the foster care system so probably learned to fight either in group homes or on the streets. I also was going to mention Highlander but no need. P.S. Who killed Diaz hmmmm, our hero that's who.

Yeah, everyone was confused about Connor being adopted, but, I'll give you a clue. Dinah called him Connor Hawke to Roy last episode, not John Diggle Jr., we obviously don't know that happened between the present and the future, but why would Dinah know JJ by his fake name? Why would Roy recognize it? You'll see, I guess) In that Legends episode he was JJ, but used Connor Hawke as an alias, but that was before Barry did a flashpoint, and in the concurrent season 3 of Arrow we only had baby Sara Diggle before Bartholomew, indirectly, replaced her with baby John!!! P.S. Sad about The Dragon......but he did went out up in flames, he kinda set himself up for it, lol)

"Who can I thank?" Haha so true. RIP to the most boring and overused villain of the whole show. Not threatening or believable at all.

Kevin Tran

Oh man Jordan you bringing back memories of Season 7. Back then I wanted so badly for Shan’s idea to be true but fucking hell they never relented on the Olicity pairing not once and I kinda have to respect that.

Luis Garcia

Also, in the Legends episode, it was an alternate future, one where the Legends never come back to the present.

Well lets see what I can come up with on the fly. Umm... ok. In the US, a lot of 80s kids joined marshal arts programs after Karate Kid came out, if they weren't already there due to Bruce Lee. So we will just head cannon that in the Arrowverse all the ones who found success there ended up evil. (This to explain the random goons fighting skills. The main villains are better explained) For real though, even I took a year and a half of Tae Kwon Do and I'm about as unathletic as we come. I couldn't beat Oliver in a fight, but my loss wouldn't be as embarrassing as you'd expect. Would still be fairly one sided for sure, but I think I'd get in a hit. Not every random goon can say that.

Tony

I think it's probably better if she gets to figure it out herself, It would give you guys a better reaction no?

I'm now realising how funny it is that despite how legendary the Green Arrow/Black Canary romance is in the comics, neither of the live-action Green Arrows ever got with a Black Canary, even though the character was in both of their shows. Instead, Hartley-Arrow ended up with Chloe, and it looks like Amell-Arrow is gonna end up with Felicity in the end. Interestingly, both of those women were blonde and hackers. Heck, look at their superhero codenames: Watchtower and Overwatch. Also, they both had romantic histories with Supermen. Chloe with Welling and Felicity with Routh. I'm not convinced that any of this was NOT coincidence, but still... Both characters were also non-recognisable faces from the comics. Although, Chloe was an original character created for Smallville while Felicity was such an obscure character from the comics that she might as well have been an original creation for Arrow.

I know it has to be here somewhere.. *the search intensifies*

It was at this time, between this episode and the next, that they announced that the next season would be the last season of Arrow.
