You're not wrong on the parallels. This entire season is one giant parallel. The alien storyline is a parallel to the illegal alien situation in the United States. This show likes to beat you over the head with their thoughts on politics. I won't say how I feel about the rest of the season but up till this point I think it has been a really enjoyable season.

It did get a little on the nose, until it got a lot on the nose. I think this was the last season I watched in its entirety. I do like Brainy a lot though, he is no Winn, but he is rather funny.

This show likes to beat you over the head with it's feminism agenda and female empowerment, which is not bad, but maybe not done so well and definitely not subtle, and this season also dived deep into the politics, and they were not subtle here too. MALE HUMAN president is such a jerk, while FEMALE ALIEN president was so so good. Also doesn't help that Lynda Carter is mixed raced and Bruce Boxleitner is as white as it gets. And he's made to look like President Trump who was in the office when this season aired and it was an obvious choice by the show, not a coincidence. Maybe it would have been better to have a FEMALE HUMAN jerk president and keeping the same story......I mean the show had consistenly had a female villians every season, so why not have a female president that is antagonistic towards our heroes. I think they just really wanted to use him as a stand-in for Trump. Like a said, they just can't be subtle, they need to keep hammering their point, like goint out of their way and mentioning that Superman is not as strong as Kara for a hundred times.

Brainy misspoke in the episode when he said that Nth metal was the strongest element in existence. The strongest element in the DC universe is Inertron, the material that makes up the hull of the Legion cruiser. It does not occur naturally and can only be made by Trommites, an alien species capable of transmuting elements. Brainy was correct about his flight ring having Nth metal in it however, as it is made from an alloy of Nth metal and Inertron. Oh, and to answer your question Shan, in the comics, the world knows that Clark Kent is Superman. He revealed his identity in Superman #18 back in December 2019.

You nailed it perfectly. I enjoyed the first 3 seasons of this show, despite its use of "hit you over the head" political and social agenda, but season 4 totally lost me.
